Gabapentinoids Lyrica and benzo combo?

Hi,

How dangerous is the interaction between the 2?

I taken the following :

19:17 6mg bromazepam
19:50 2mg clonazepam
20:04 3mg bromazepam
20:18 300mg lyrica.
20:40 25mg heroine smoked(am dependent)

Still not very sleppy

Would be pretty dangerous for someone with no tolerance but fine for someone who is tolerant to such things. For someone with a heavy enough tolerance you could multiply those numbers by 5 and still be fine.

So the answer is dependent on tolerance. Years ago I was maintained on 380mg/day of methadone, and in effort to get high on top of all that methadone I would shoot the entire contents of 100ug/hr fentanyl patches in a single shot (thats ~17mg of fentanyl). Sometimes I'd even shoot two at a time. All while on benzos. That amount of narcotics + benzos would kill an entire baseball team, plus the coaches and referees. But I handled it fine (well mostly fine, after some of the fentanyl shots I'd wake up on the ground). I have never overdosed on opioids and benzos (at least not requiring hospitalization) despite having consumed huge amounts of benzos and opioids simultaneously. I once consumed over 900mg of methadone at once, while on large amounts of phenazepam, and was fine (although i later woke up face down in bowl of cereal, fortunately the bowl wasn't big enough to accommodate my entire head, otherwise I might have have drowned in 3 inches of milk ).

So maybe what you listed is safe or maybe its not, depending on your tolerance. My opioid tolerance is moderately low these days, so if i tried to take just my old daily dose of methadone (380mg) right now, I would probably be dead within 90 minutes. What was safe then would be fatal for me now.

Sidenote: not sure of your benzo dosing there and timing and reason behind it.

I put the dosages and timings so you know how much was taken and when(thoufh it might be important).

Why I took them was because I was withdrawing and wanted some relief/get to bed and sleep.
Still awake and it s 23:07. I suspect I have quite high of a benzo tolerance since I never waited 14 days to fully reset my tolerance.

So lyrica and benzos should be pretty safe combo? I was asking since tripsit and psychonautwiki says it a dangerous interaction

Note that those sources are based on the supposition that the person consuming said substances have no tolerance to either.

One thing I can mention if you can change it, would be the benzo type and get a hypnotic benzo. Clonazepam does nothing for sleep.

As for the combo it is as safe as your tolerance to the two.

Note that, of course, some drug interactions are absolute, meaning they are independent of tolerance.

For instance, paxil should never be combined with and potent MAOI, or Methotrexate should never be combined with an NSAID, etc

I don't have alot of experience with clonazepam (never liked that benzo), but I would imagine it would work fine for sleep.

I had one horrifying experience with clonazepam. I was at a friends house and he offered me some of his 2mg pills. I was actively using heavy doses of benzos at the time, mostly xanax, estazolam and some RC benzos, so while i wasnt too familiar with clonazepam i thought shit, I can probably take 5 or 6 of these pills no problem.

We had to go somewhere and we needed to drive seperately and I didnt know the address so he told me to follow him. So im following him in my car and the 5 or 6 2mg klonopins (10mg+) i took kicked in. We were on the freeway and I was following in the slow lane because the destination wasnt that far (maybe 8 miles). But i became increasingly disoriented, and for whatever reason, while following him began exiting as soon as an exit popped up. He then had to get off the freeway and find me, and then we got back on the freeway. But i kept on doing the same thing over and over. I'd follow him for a little bit further, then suddenly get off at a random exit, at which point he had to find me again. The process repeated many times. It was actually pretty horrifying and frightening, I remember it to this day. Never have I been so anxious while simultaneously on a huge amount of benzos. It was terrifying.

I actually don't remember what happened after that. My memory sort of blanked out. Obviously we got there eventually but the process took hours. I remember the distressed look on my friends face. He was quite disturbed by the whole thing. He's was a sensitive dude and I think he was a bit traumatized by it (unfortunately he committed suicide years later). But it was like a bad dream. Yet it was real.

Ever since then I have steered clear of clonazepam. Ativan is another one I avoid, which has a somewhat similar zombifying effect.

Of course, never drive while on huge amounts of benzos. I mean i was fine to drive on the normal amount of benzos I was accustomed to, but i overestimated my tolerance and those 5 or 6 2mg klonopins rocked my ass. Im lucky i didnt cause an accident. Its weird, its not so much that I was sleepy as I was confused and disoriented.

Only one other time have I been scared from benzo confusion was after smoking a bunch of etizolam and some dabs of cannabis wax (I have a low tolerance to cannabis). I was in the kitchen of my old apartment, with my girlfriend, who also had smoked the combo, and we were standing there for like 40 minutes not understanding what we were doing standing there. I kept on saying unfinished sentences like, "Wait, were we supposed to...." or "I think we...." etc. And she was saying similar fragmented sentences. It had a similar frightening feel as the klonopin driving fiasco but not nearly as scary.

Fuck clonazepam. I had tried it other times and never liked it. Reminded me of the brain dead feeling you get from ativan, but with more amnesia.

@negrogesic I also have a high tolerance to benzos but can still use low maintenance doses, weird. But your exp sounded like you were still awake after all that. So reason I'm saying he should look more at hypnotic benzo

I have simular story just involving a lot of khat and alcohol. Following friend home from bar and losing each so many times. But another story for another day.

Back on my benzo for sleep issues/heroin withdrawal.

What would be best? I have bromazepam and 0.75mg left of a 2mg bar of xanax, and 1 x 2mg clonazepam.

I ll get next week some lozarepam 2.5mg and diazepam 10mg

Any recommendations are well welcomed

Diazepam is a nice overallhitting all three more or less the same.

I use to have awesome charts and pie charts splitting the benzo in the category.

Nitrazepam is a good starting hypnotic benzos. 5mg should do the trick.

In a tolerant individual…..only the best anxiolytic combo Ever lol

Diazepam 10mg X 2-3
Alprazolam 0.5mg X 2
Pregabalin 150mg X 2-3

Opioid & Dopaminergic stimulant also added (for me personally) but a Benzo & Gabapentinoid work very well together to combat anxiety
