LSD vs. PMA

The 3rd time I tried ecstasy I was sold a PMA pill. I was first told that it was a "smacker" meaning I would really roll.

I didn't hear too much about the pill from friends, since green smiley's were the most popular and everyone was buying from 1 group of dealers. I had to gone to a lesser known "dealer" who I knew and trusted better than the other dealers, and he sold me the pill. I asked him what was in it, and he told me that I've have to get a test kit to find out because he didn't know.

I went home, hid the pill in my room, and anticipated the next day.
When I woke up I discovered that my plans were moved to the next day, so I decided to just pop the pill and go to school. Big mistake and a totally stupid idea.

About 20 minutes after taking the pill I arrived at school and went to class. I didn't feel anything for an hour and a half. When I felt it, it was a very powerful rush. Nothing like I had felt before, and it was quite pleasurable. I felt very sporadic, and I was smiling uncontrollably. I began overheating terribly, and I felt very sharp numbing, burning, and tingling sensations in my head. I had strong derealization, but everything was very clear. My eyes burned badly.

The room seemed to have changed a lot, not visually but the meaning of it. It was nothing like the ecstasy "mind high." Colors became much brighter, and the rooms lights were bright pink and orange but the room wasn't different colors. I also saw the walls move, and when I closed my eyes I saw sharp fractuals. Sounds were very distorted, and I felt extremely paranoid and scared.

I began sinking into negative thoughts, and i felt very disturbed. I felt like I was dying, and I was sort of dilussionally seeing my horrific thoughts. I was going to call 911 and try to hydrate myself, even though I felt no will to live.

It calmed down a bit, and when I left class colors were VERY bright and glowing. The ending of the high was very mellow and happy, and I wished I could have not been scared by the visuals.

I was later told it was PMA, and pill reports from the area had tested the pill and found it was PMA. Also, friends who had done it reported trips as well. People were steering away from the pills, in fear that it was laced with "acid."

Since this experience, I've always wanted to experience LSD. I am still analyzing the high and what it might be like until I can get my hands on some. (I'm trying!)

My question to you, is PMA or anything close to acid? Is the "psychadelic rush" the same as that of LSD?

Absolutely not :)

PMA is know to be a rather unpredictable, strong stimulant. It's known for having bad reactions which have been fatal for some people who were victims of the greediness of the pill producers.

LSD is if a very clean feeling drug, it also doesn't cause the dangerous physical side-effects of PMA. It's also much more mind opening with more positive effects.

Also, this day in age, when buying E pills, a testing kit is an absolute necessity.
 
Take my word for this take all precautions to avoid PMA.
PMA is not nicknamed Dr. Death without just cause.

PMA can and has killed on multiple occasions just by itself, and also from the even more dangerous situation where one has injested PMA and MDMA, like someone taking more than one pill in a night and one of them contains PMA this situation leads to many many horror stories.

It is nothing like acid, nothing close to acid at all. Comparisons are like comparing an infection to penicillin.

Im speaking on this as my life now is a paradox. I Shouldn't be alive today, I should have died 2 years ago new years eve at the rave in milwaukee where I took ecstasy for the first time. I took two pills (one later identified to be PMA, the other a very good MDMA only) I felt incredible for the first hour the MDMA came on, but that quickly turned into a dark hell i began to vomit i couldn't walk or do anything straight. It's in these times, is when you fully know who is your friend. My life today is thanks to two things, one the actions of my friend (who carried me out of the club and to my apartment which was a block away thankfully and stay with me for 3 days until i finally recovered.. and my apt. had no tv, no internet connection it was when i just moved in really, imagine sitting basically in a room with nothing to do for three days thats what i consider true friendship) and the other is paradoxically my xanax addiction at the time, the 3 day coma the PMA/MDMA landed me in had me popping 1 mg pills throughout the entire time which coincidently saved my life.

That maybe ten minutes i remember when the PMA kicked in, was the most horrific, most toxic feeling i've ever experienced.

Now in the case of LSD, well i have nothing but great things to say on that subject :P
 
Even though I've never had PMA they don't come even close. LSD should go much much further in terms of 'mind high', it is a classic psychedelic and PMA is hardly psychedelic (or not) at all.
But you don't have to be wary of LSD's physical effects because it is extremely safe for your body compared to some other drugs. It is safe, period.
That does not include combinations, even those are normally fine but I have to mention that if you would combine LSD with nitrous not even is that unimaginably intense and absurd but you could get a seizure from it. That is just on a sidenote, many tripdrugs have a much larger impact on the mind than the body.
 
All the things you describe sound much more like 2Cx. I had a 2Cx pill a while ago (tested) and it was very similar, very visual. PMA have not done much research on but by the way people describe it it doesnt sound like you had PMA maybe it was MDA or 2Cx. I had what was believed to be MDA and it was mildly trippy and once I smoked cannabis on it it became alot more visual.

Edit: I looked up PMA on erowid supposebly minour visuals. Get a test kit.
 
There was one old paper saying PMA proved to be about as potent as LSD in that xxx (animal)test.I remember it from my old times,it sparked my interest then to be honest!Luckily enough I instead made PMMA then to check it out...
 
Why? Is that one not dangerous for your cardiovascular system and stuff?

I never understood the name PMMA, to me that sounds like 4-MMA / 4-methylmethamphetamine
which is a horrible piece of work.
The alternatives, PMeOA or 4-MeO-AMPEA are not pretty to look at but at least they are accurate.

On a sidenote, I really hope someone will synthesize the compound code named ONOMATO-PEA.

I ingested two PMA pills about 2-3 years ago one night and had the worst night of my life. I looked like a burn victim my face was that red and i was sweating intensely. I held down the vomit for a while and tried to have a good time, but as soon as I started vomiting I didn't stop for a good 5 hours. My heart felt like it was on fire and i had the worst migraine of my life. I'll never go near a suss pill again.
 
I remember the paper now,its a Nature article called "Hallucinations to order"! Altough it was more an anti-drug pamphlet,to a good degree it was responsible for my growing "interest" in this field.The potency of PMA was compared to LSD,guess this raised my eyebrows then.Ah lots of memories are coming back (add drowning-in-nostalgia emoticon) .This must have been about in 1992...

Looks like 15mg of 3-MeO-PCP has had a good effect on my memory,I still have a copy here, its indeed Nature, Vol. 216 , October 21 ,1967 "Hallucinations to order" under News and Views. This referenced back to Another Nature article, "Some new behaviour-disrupting amphetamines and their signifcance", Vol. 216 , 128 , 1967 (poor animals dying of PMA :( ).This one mentions also the other mono-methoxylated amphetamines,unfortunatly I have only the first side and the 3-MeO-Amp data misses,would be interesting as its quite an unexplored compound.

Yes PMMA proved to be quite safe into the hundreds of mg's but I was a young adventurer then,though I never had a hypertensive crisis.Nevertheless,it caused such an extreme euphoria it brought me to tears! About 7 years later,I tried PMA out of curiousity-yes I massively disliked it and my BP went up strongly,nausea,paresthesias (liked),sweating,impaired vision,minor enhancement of contrasts (liked),nystagmus,impotence,vertigo,a short speedy push+deep breathing (liked),then very lazy,almost stupurous/catatonic,in short, a dangerous shithole it provides,this PMA. Nothing at all like LSD as Nature suggested...

Para-Methoxi-Amphetamine btw was the root of the naming (and para btw since long the established word for a 4-substituent),Para-Methoxi-Meth-Amphetamine just the logical extension.Don't know who started it-oops,looks like Sasha,in "Chemistry of Psychtomimetics",he references himself for an article in 1969.With the known history,naming is understood better,though I know its not always looking accurate.DMA for example stands for 3,4-Dimethoxiamphetamine,the modern smart asses will onject and say "but DMA is Dimethylacetamide!"...

And lastly,PMA usually has a smell of anise without adding KMnO4...

It's manganese dioxide - use some hot vinegar on it & it should form soluble manganese acetate. Make sure you don't let any get near any foodstuffs though as manganese is implicated in Parkinson's disease
