It was our basic Saturday night, the group of us, Nik, Shawn, Ted, and myself (The names have been changed to protect those of us who don't want to be caught naturally.) decided in a fit of boredom that tonight we'd free our minds from it's stagnant reality, and see what kind of new reality acid would grant us on this night.

After doing our usual calling rounds, we came up with a set of blue geltabs around midnight. Finally having the product in hand, we dropped and waited for the fun to start. It was pretty normal for us at first, sitting around in our living room, smoking a little bud to keep the trip calm.

Around 2:30 in the morning a bit of boredom set in as our conversations ran down into jibberish, so we decided to watch a movie, and after a little deliberation we settled on Beyond the Mind's Eye. For those of you that may not have seen it, it's a collection of short scenes of computer animation set to some rather crappy techno music. Well, thanks to the music being horrible, we chose to mute the TV, and set the CD player up to play Crystal Method's "Vegas" CD. For some reason though, we didn't want to start it at the beginning, so we settled on starting it on track 4 for no apparent reason.

Once the tape started, we hit play and sat back, letting ourselfs drift off into the video. The music went along so well with the show that we were unable to say a word, compleatly entranced with the tape and music combination, lost in our own little worlds and left to the mercy of our drug laden minds.

Once the tape finished, we turned to each other, eyes wide and smiles broad along our lips, unable to say a word, caught up in our own awe at how perfectly the music went with the movie. Anyone thinking about tripping in the near future that happens to have both "Vegas" and Beyond the Mind's Eye, I would have to highly recommend doing it just once. Sit back, relax, and just watch where your mind can go.

i have one of those "minds eyes" DVD's deffinitly one of my favorite trip toys besides the mirror! The music deffinitly blows a fat ass, i usually mute it and toss on something else. The video is totally entrancing though! haha.

I have collected the Mind's Eye series since its inception. It is a familiar vision emanating from my TV screen; perfect for myriad situations, beautiful, flowing.
If you haven't seen this, it is highly recommened you at least rent one from your local video store.
