LSD 25 vs. amber crystal

Why is pure L25 so much better than a lower grade crystal such as amber, or silver? Is it the process or the extraction method/quality? Or is quality more an issue of dilution?

I would bet that "amber" crystalline LSD has more impurities in it than clear/white LSD xtals. Probably because the cook doesn't want to recrystallize it and hurt his yields, or it was stored improperly.

LSD is traditionally purified via silica column chromatogrpahy to seperate the active d-LSD from the other 3 isomers and impurities like unreacted LSA. Then it can be recrystallized from various solvents, ofgten with a little decolorising carbon, to produce "clean" crystals. If you skp the last step (recrystallization) you'll end up with dirtier looking crystals that still contain >80% active LSD.

Anjother option is it's all in your head. Some people can have wildly variable reactions to a standard dose of LSD dependig on mindstate. If you expect the trip to be chaotic it probably will be.
