I'm currently trying to establish (or disprove) a somewhat novel theory about the glutamate metabolism in regards to mental disorders, mood problems, hyper sensibility - especially stress, and chronic-stress related. Genetics seem to play a big part, notably the NADPH oxidase and chronic oxidative stress.
(If this doesn't make sense for you, don't worry, it doesn't completely for me either at the moment
but that's why I'm opening this thread.)
I'm searching for any experiences with low, sub-dissociative / sub-plateau dosages of dextromethorphan (single dose 20-50mg, max. daily dosage maybe 100-150mg). Possibly you had a bad cough and just took it as directed for several days ... did you experience anything? Especially those with depression / anxiety / etc. but everyone's experiences are of interest!
Many thanks
