I havent done MDMA in about 4 months. Before these 4 months i would take MDMA about every other weekend if not every weekend. Sence ive stopped the MDMA usage ive been having social anxiety problems. During the weeks after taking MDMA i never had social anxiety and felt fine(besides a little depression). Now that ive stopped using i just feel anti social, hard to hold a conversation.

I had gotten in trouble with the law a little bit right before i stopped my usage while completely loaded on LSD. It was a very traumatic experience. Getting arrested, losing everything and being locked up for a week. I feel i may have a touch of PTSD.

I was wondering if using the occasional MDMA would reduce these symptoms of feeling locked up within my head.

aint really no good use in usin beans for recreational self medicatin. Only if you were with a licensesed professional under supervision at low dose would it be okay.

since you have been busin and are gettin acid flashbacks, its safe to say that I can say its not so safe for you to do this. yor world will get darker and scarier, plus if you think you dont relate to no one know, wait till u see how you feel after eatin too many beans. You will be so social awkward yer friends will thing your mentally challenged and re-tard-ed.

so....

best bet:

grab a six pack of bud light and a blunt, take a 6 month break from ecsdacy and acid, get your legal issues straightened out.

after you accomplish all dis you will have a fantastic roll

Need a little more input here...

1) How long were you consistenly taking MDMA before the 4 month break?

2) Are you at risk of being drug testing due to your issue with law?

3) Have you tried 5HTP? (If you don't know what this is, just search the boards)

My suggestion would be to try to work things out on the sober route. 4 months is not that long of a break assuming you were using for an extended period. Your brain needs longer than that to fully balance after that much use and it would be healthy to allow it to fix itself naturally, which 5HTP might help it do. If you've already got 4 months sobriety, the hardest part is behind you.

However, there are certain instances (and I might get some negative feedback on this, but I'm speaking from personal experience) where it can be very helpful to use MDMA one more time to "reset" your brain right.

On occasion, after rolling or tripping or getting high on whatever, my brain can get on a particularly negative tangent that doesn't seem to want to fix itself in any real hurry. It's in this case, that I have found it very helpful to roll (MDMA only) one more time to kind of "reset" my brain properly. You'll know when this happens. You'll have an afterglow that feels right and you should feel that now you're ready (hopefully wanting, but at least the very least willing) to go on a sober streak.

An old party friend articulated this to me a long time ago and I kind of always knew it to be an issue, but not consciously. It's been very helpful ever since. The key is once your brain is "reset" properly, don't get trigger happy and go roll more. Just let it be. Hope this helps. Sorry to hear about the discomfort and anxiety.

PS - I don't know if this has been discussed on Bluelight already since I'm realatively new here. I guess I'd be surprised if it hadn't.

^^^I have not really heard about that brain "resetting" approach, but it does sound interesting.

Social anxiety seems to be a common problem after overdoing it with MDMA. I think the safest bet would be to stay away from it and supplement with 5-HTP. If MDMA is what caused your social anxiety in the first place, then doing more could potentially make things worse.

Do you use any other substances now?

I'm not a doctor, so of course, don't take my advice as such, but things for him sound already bad, so ONE more roll I would think would be very unlikely to make a significant difference in where he's at. After all, it took many rolls to get him there. Plus, it might have been the acid that did it or the combo or the combo and the experience with the law.

What I'm saying is that ONE and only ONE more roll (and I don't mean number of pills cause I don't know his tolerance, I'm refering to the experience just to be clear) can sometimes click your outlook back into place. The key to my point is that if ONE doesn't do it, DO NOT keep trying. And make sure you get good clean MDMA if you do it. I have used this method a number of times and, believe it or not, it has been a blessing in disguise.

^^^Additionally, I'm not a scientist or brain chemical expert, so I don't know the science behind what I'm describing. For all I know, it's a placebo effect, but it really has worked for me and others I know.

Only thing in your case is that it's already been 4 months. I've usually used this technique within a couple months of a negative tangent, but I would guess it would still work. Just use as a last resort if you do because you will be risking going on another tear if you don't have self control.

One final thing...and I don't think I need to say this, but if you do roll again, do what you can to make sure you avoid negativity. In other words, go to a party (club, rave, whatever) where you know the vibe will be good...assuming parties are your thing. We've all been to clubs or raves that have a more negative feel.

Try to make it a more cathartic experience...perhaps burning manesc if you will. Hang with close friends, have good conversations, etc. I guess what I'm saying is if the experience is superficial (which tends to be the trend when you've rolled for too may weekends in a row), you'll be less likely to get your brain/spirit back on the right track. It may have a less therapeutic effect than what you're looking for.

Ya ive been using 5-htp and L-tyrosine off and on but i wasnt too sure the negative side effects of these suplements.

Should i be taking both?
Should i use the 5-htp every day?
Should i Be taking the L-tyrosine every day?

A good friend of mine said that 5-htp could cause Neuro toxcicity due to the increased levels in serotonin. Then when you stop using the drug all serotonin levels drop dramatically.

Stuck in a pickle.

I have social anxiety post MDMA abuse.. Although i was using other drugs during this time.. i suspect the MDMA caused the most problems..

Although, i did properly abuse MDMA :\

I can't imagine 5htp being neurotoxic being that's it's sold as a legal supplement. Also, it's just not strong enough and works naturally in the body to help optimize seratonin levels, from what I understand. You certainly won't be getting high off 5htp.

I use the 5htp every day...the one I take suggests 4 times a day...I think to keep it consistent througout day. I notice it helps restore consistency to mood, helps with sleep and brings a more positive outlook/mood overall. I wouldn't worry about taking it every day. I'd do it until things improve and then taper it off.

Don't know anything about the L-tyrosine. Is it also a seratonin improving supplement?

If you have social anxiety just do something that feels natural for you to do before you go out. Such as Blaze up or Drink a couple of brews before hand so that you are not thinking about it as much thats what i did after that happened to me and it will eventually go away with time for now just try to accept it and deal with it the best you can and try not to worry about it because the more you think about it the worse it will be.

oh yea and 5-htp does help alot i would recommend reading up on it and trying out for yourself.
