Hey everyone, I am writing this now because I have been very scared I might be doing the wrong thing here...
First off I have been addicted to heroine and suboxone for the last 6 almost 7 years of my life. I am 23, 24 next month and I am proud to say I am 10 days clean off suboxone for the first time... in 6-7 years lol... I have done some research but im afraid i may be leading myself down another shitty path, and let me explain. I am using Kratom to get off of suboxone right now but im afraid im replacing one thing for another that will leave me the same spot I was the day I decided i HAD to quit suboxone.(the devils drug, i call it).. I abused it in every way shape and form.. I would shoot it, plug it, i tried snorting it. and this went on for 4-5 years.. (6-7years on heroine and opiates, 4-5 on suboxone[maybe longer actually]). I am on kratom now and I have only been on for 10 days, and im not sure if its the sub w/d i feel or the kratom w/d that im starting to encounter when i dont take anything.. I want to do this and I want to do it right.. I have clonodine, kpin, Soma, and gabbapentin(somewhere in my room from about a year ago when i tried to get off subs). When i jumped off suboxone I was down to 1mg a day. I have read about how addicting kratom can be and im scared im getting hooked to it... the first few days i was using it to get high but then i realized what i had it for and the last 6-7 days ive been using it only when i REALLY feel i need to... Has anyone ever undergone this same method of getting off opiates/subs? Subs are such a bitch because of the long half life they have and sometimes I feel I would rather kick H than Subs, but I will not use that shit ever again so thats outa the question. and just plain stupid. I plan to get the vivitrol shot after all this and I want to do this the quickest, safest, easiest way possible.. What are some non-opiod medication i can use besides the ones i listed to help me through this... The worst w/d that I cant handle is the restlessness in my legs, arms, and back and the pain i feel in my muscles.. I know it wont be easy and I am willing to do what needs to be done at this point in my life. Thank you to anyone that is taking the time to read this and double thank you to anyone who replies.
I also had the balls to take all my gear(needles) about 4 days ago, break the needles, and toss everything i had into the trash can the day the garbage man was coming... I even watched him when he came to pick up the trash. (not sure why) I will be checking back as often as I can for responses. THANK YOU!!!
