I had a terrible day, and I'm hoping for a way to wipe it from my memory. It's been about half a day since then, so I'm a little worried I might miss my window, but hopefully, there are drugs that can wipe a great from a relatively lengthy period of time, like a few days or so, although the more, the better. I've heard that certain drugs can cause relatively short term retrograde amnesia (i.e., memory loss prior to an event rather than after), such as Xanax and Ambien, so I was hoping that maybe if I took a high enough dosage, possibly with alcohol, I could accomplish my goal. From Googling, it appears that people who have used this drug have experience memory loss of events prior to taking the drug, but other people I've talked to say that you can only forget things that have happened after taking the drug. One guy I talked to said that you can forget events prior to taking the drug, and he suggested that Xanax and Ambien together would probably cause some degree of retrograde amnesia. Specifically, he recommended 8-10 mg of Xanax, 5-10mg of Ambien, and have 5 or 6 drinks, and said that if I remembered anything from the last few weeks, it was here to stay, so presumably you can forget a great deal of stuff that happened throughout a decent period of time. He also said that certain memories were harder to forget than others, which was very troubling. Also, I wasn't entirely clear on everything he said. He mentioned that this wasn't a "brain bleach" where you forget everything throughout a set period of time but more like where you forget a bunch of stuff throughout that period, but I was a little confused because based on some stuff he said afterwards I got the impression he was saying that the memories would still be there and I would probably recover them, only they wouldn't seem real, so I'm not real sure what to believe, and I'm feeling very discouraged.

The guy I talked to said this should be relatively safe and said that the worst would happen was I'd feel like shit for a day or two, but others said it was dangerous and that I should only take 1mg of Xanax, but if this is the case, I'm screwed because supposedly this isn't enough to make you forget anything. I'm not very familiar with these or any drugs (the only prescription medication I've ever take was Zoloft), so I was hoping you guys could help me out here.

Also, I mentioned Xanax and Ambien because that's what the last guy I asked mentioned, and those are the only ones I know of at the moment that can cause memory loss, but I'd love to hear any other suggestions. They don't have to be benzos. What type of drug they are doesn't matter. Bear in mind, though, that I'm very concerned about time. What happened happened earlier this morning, and I don't want to miss my window. If this will work with Xanax and Ambien, I think I could probably get some from my uncle. Assuming he doesn't already have some, I have a feeling he might be able to get a hold of it. If there's any other drugs, it might take a little more time getting them, but I'll ask him and maybe he can help me out. Although again, time is an issue, and if the drug that will do what I want is harder to get than Xanax or Ambien, it'll have to be capable of erasing a longer period of time.

I really hope you guys can help me out because I'm in really bad shape right now. I feel like absolute garbage. I seriously want to die. Any joy or happiness I felt is gone, and I don't know any other way to get it back. If someone could point me to a drug or combination of drugs that could do this, I'd be infinitely grateful. Just getting rid of this brief amount of time would be the difference between me being miserable and wanting to die and me being able to be relatively happy again.

whoever told you is full of it.
8-10 mg of Xanax, 5-10mg of Ambien, and have 5 or 6 drinks? Don't do it

What would happen?

I'm reading over what was said right now. He did later suggest that since it's my first time, it might be better to take 5mg of Ambien, 6mg of Xanax, and three or four beers. What about that?

We don't allow "what do I take" threads.

There aren't drugs that cause retrograde amnesia, just ones that cause amnesia for the duration of their effects at high doses. And mixing benzos, Z-drugs and alcohol is a good way to end up entirely unconscious and possibly make you stop breathing.

If you feel like you're going to hurt yourself or others, you want to die, or you're in that much distress phone your local emergency services or a local crisis line so you can get some proper help.
Or a counselor or something. Self medication in an attempt to forget doesn't, in general, work. (Except for maybe MDMA and intensive therapy. But that's not as simple as forgetting.)

You're not going to be able to magically forget emotionally intense events that already happened to you even if you get blackout fucking drunk, so don't bother.
