Hellllloo Bluelight… I’ve used the site for personal research/harm reduction over the years but I never thought to sign up and ask a question…Not much of a social media person.

I find myself in a tough spot now though. I’ve lost all but one of my “sources” for my pain medication (injured and Dr put me on them years ago then cut me off). H and Fent aren’t prevalent in my area but my last source is increasingly unreliable. I take appx 9grams kratom daily to stave off WD (I have a professional career and family so I can’t be walking around like that. Not that what I’m doing is by any means better). But it doesn’t help the pains and has no recreational use for me.

I’ve been trying to do research on alternatives lately and haven’t gotten anywhere. I was looking into research Chems but there’s so many abbreviations I just don’t understand and am worried I’ll take something that could really hurt me or have effects that were completely opposite of what I need (ie up for 3days or go into a complete psychedelic trip).

Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. Some sort of directory of opioid analogs would be great. Or atleast a couple names of known analogs. Just something to get me started.

Any help appreciated

hey there, welcome to BL, it sure can be informative, and yes confusing sometimes with the chemists, def alot of info on RC`s, gabapentin is mentioned alot for relief, many will assist you in layman's terms, hope you feel better soon and get good advice

Clonidine is apparently very effective for withdrawals. I personally have found it very useful for other purposes, it's an interesting medicine with a variety of uses and not at all recreational.

Hi @Jcoloncfl

Welcome to Bluelight 😊

I've always preferred forums to social media (I use that to mean Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc). So I've been a member on a lot of forums. I really like BL because it's very relaxed (pretty crazy haha) but moderated.

I was on benzos for anxiety and oxies (on and off mainly for toothache, but my doctor knew I used them as an anti-depressant). The law got stricter and stricter with the oxies, so I had to cut down pretty quickly then stop them altogether.

Then not long after that I got cut off my benzos as well 😠 Now I get weaker benzos at a dose that barely touches the sides, and I just put up with any physical pain (which isn't that bad except when my teeth play up).

My main priority is staying away from alcohol. I don't even like it much anymore but as a cheap and easy sedative and painkiller it's always tempting.

Anyway, I'm sure you'll find help with what you're after here 😊
