Have you ever noticed that you never come home with the same ciggarette lighter you originally went out with?

You either come home with a completely different lighter, or no lighters, or an assortment of random lighters you have no idea how you aquired?

There must be some sort of lighter bermuda triangle out there which sucks in all lighters and then spits them out at random back into the universe.

I wonder... if you put a tracking device on your lighter, how many people's hands it would end up in... it could travel all around the country or even the world!

I've woken up in a cheap motel room surrounded by empty liquor bottles and someone else's lighter on my chest. I'm not sure if I had sex with the lighter or not.

True story!
 
one time during a session, i had a cheap bic lighter to start off with, and the next morning when i went to toke i went in my pocket for my lighter and instead of my chinsy bic one there was one of those expensive butane torch lighters with a pot leaft that light up when u used it...how odd, never found out whose it was too.
 
I always lose my lighters... I hate that. Although last weekend I lost one and so I just got another one. Then the next morning I go into my purse and I found another ligter, but i didn't know whos it was.
 
I never jack lighters, but it seems like somebody always jacks mine (or someone else's). I think they are aware of it too, because if I'm high, drunk, trippin, or whatever, I will never steal somebody's lighter (or pipe, money, drugs, etc). Maybe it just has to do with what types of people are there (some people get violent on alcohol, some don't).
 
i always lose them, and then buy another one, and then find my old one the next day.
god hates me, and wants to make me spend 54 cents as often as possible...
 
I always come home with the same cheap lighter(s) I brought. Occasionally I'll find another cheapie but I never lose mine. I suppose I should upgrade to a zippo. I want one that will attach to my lanyard, that way I'll never lose it. Do they even make those?
 
I'm super protective of my stuff (as I don't have much $), so generally I don't lose lighters. I haven't been smoking forever anyway, but I've seriously had the same two lighters for over a year .. and they had quite a bit of use. I bought the 2nd one, fearing the first would die on me any minute - and they're still going strong.

Most recently, I was having a beer @ a friend's and noticed a giant fish bowl full of lighters. He said his roommate proudly stole lighters from other people and put them in the bowl, had to be at least 50 in there :X

So I took one, that's karma I suppose ;)
My friend probably kept one or two of mine in the past anyway.
 
^ yeah I had a friend who took pride in pinching people's lighters as well... she thought it was funny. It was an ongoing joke that we had to hide our lighters in the pub or Julie would swipe them. Or if someone lost their lighter we'd all look for her. I think she collected them until she got to 100 then started giving them all away. Weird how some people get their kicks :D
 
Sometimes if the shop assistant gives me a yucky pink one, I'll try to swap it with someone elses nice green one when they are not looking. They still have a lighter, they just have a pink one now. :)
 
Yes I always had this problem with lighters too till I decided to launch my counter attack >>> months later I had somewhere around 50 lighters in my room because I needed to make up all those years of losing them.

Which is funny cause I've probably only had 3 or 4 lighters stolen from me in my lifetime :)
 
I lose my lighters all the time, usually get annoyed when ive lost it, when ive just brought it. Meth users tend to always have a big supply of lighters LOL... I always break the plastic bit (that turns the gas on) off the bic lighter when I buy them now. Still gets stolen / lost, but usually easier to find amongst "forgot to give your lighter back" friends.

LOL! I always buy the pink ones because noone else does and therefore I always notice if someone else has mine...

...plus...a lot of guys seem to never even wanna touch a pink lighter and never steal them, so it's a really good system.

I lose very few lighters. ;)

And I kinda like pink now, too. It's a magickal color...
