I am prescribe Lexapro, but don't take it anymore because I am no longer confident of the long-term safety of this class of drugs. I was wondering though if it's true that taking an SSRI after rolling/on the come down actually decreases neurotoxicity.

^ I'm not sure where you are getting that idea from. While it might not be the best idea and certainly won't protect against neurotoxicity to take an SSRI after MDMA, I don't see how it could be equivalent to putting a bullet in your brain?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, as is quite possible :)

To answer the OP, taking an SSRI before you drop could potentially reduce the possibility of neurotoxicity as it blocks the release of serotonin, but that would also mute the effects of the MDMA, as I'm sure you know. Either situation (SSRI before or after) is not advisable.

seriously
DO NOT take Lexapro if you have taken MDMA even remotely recently
u will go to the gun store

hmmmmmmm this just proves no bodies are alike.

from my experience you will not feel the effects of mdma if you are taking lexapro. not even week after you stop taking the meds. not even if you drop 7 beans.

Ummmm.......I'm getting that 'idea' from personal experience.
