My focus with this question, is primarily aimed at benzos and pharmaceutical stimulants like adderall and more so leaning on the stimulant side of things. Also, I may mention, that when I'm talking about use, I'm not talking really full fledged emergence to the point of addiction and dependence comes into play, no excess or abuse scenarios.

Well, usually I think that once you stop whatever drugs your using, you will be back at square one, and that probably is true. But, with that being said, I would think that it is possible to hold on to some gains. My theory is while maybe your brain is traveling these new neuro-pathways, maybe it could rewire to your advantage or just you come to a point where you just open a door to untapped potential, even though it may be chemical induced.

So, first of all, if you had any first hand experience with this, I'd like to know, rather it be lasting confidence, boost in self esteem, improvement in personality, social-life,etc... I want to know if anyone has held on to what they had during the peaks of benefit.

I realize that I can be that way without drugs, it's hard but it can be done. I've experienced things that have given me a long-lasting insight into the very essence of my being.

Sometimes it's hard but it's always worthwhile. I had been a very shy person for most of my life and I was able to shed that skin through the use of psychedelics, dissociatives, and marijuana.

I spent most of my 20s high every day and I didn't have a lot to show for it except it did improve my personality for The better, I've learned how to be less self-critical and more accepting of others, as I always was, but it's increased to an exponential degree with the use of high-dose mescaline and weed "...whenever and wherever.

I can relate to the shy part, but unfortunately, as far as pysch's,dissociatives, and marijuana...they'd probably fall into the worst possible drugs for my mental health.
