Misc Last days took Risperidone with Quetiapine.

Why? Just why? Neither are recreational in the slightest and this is not a combo you take for psychosis or bipolar. Jesus christ

Well, because I appreciate the void of emotion it give, especialy the first.

Maybe it’s this is my future, a life without all those little feeling who impair me.

A strange thing happened to me, after having spent a sleepless night, it plunged me into a kind of state of semi-consciousness for several hours, I had a long dream, a very long lucid dream.
It was crazy, I was aware that I was dreaming and I could control it by simple thought, then maybe it was because of Quetiapine, I had read that it could potentiate dreams.
And the worst thing is that I remember this dream as a real memory, fascinating nonetheless.
I imagine that's the state they put patients in for 24 hours, 7 days on 7.

So that's what might await me if I end up institutionalized one day...

Taking this combo for longer tíme period Is going to really damage your body, and brain probably too. But u Will end up as a fat, emotionless, very impaired human being. Well, Its your decision.

Maybe, I think I'm a bit lost in my life, yes that's it, lost.

No, in future u will realize that u are depressed. I dont know what mede are u on, if u ever had psychotic epiaodes.
Why u dont try something hypnotic but also very good for depression.
Mirtazapine or amitryptyline and u can use quetiapine for anxiety or as needed and later, get rid of quetiapine and use pregabaline for anxiety. If Mirtazapine won't suit u try vortioxetine - very good but (in my case) the starting period was suicidal and....it was bearable. And if u want, citalopram/escitalopram because this one Is good, it will at least raise your serotonine. but it effects fades out by the tíme. Good luck.

You know I had ton of Stock of Mirtazapine, one if it's not the only AD who really helped me for sleep.

And some studies speak of it being a good drug to help with methamphetamine addiction, perhaps because of its neuroprotective and mood-regulating effects.

Maybe if I take moderate dose of Risperdal at the start of the days and Mirta for sleep, maybe I had a chance to keep a mood less unstable.

risperdal made me very sedated when i first started taking it and i found the guided meditation classes in the psychward to be enjoyable while on it... then after a couple weeks of being on it, the strong sedation went away, but my anxiety was still at a minimum... not really my thing though.

a lot of people claim risperdal doesn't make them sedated, but it hits me pretty hard.

i didn't like quetiapine at all, but that might've been cause it was prescribed with another med. gave me a lot of anxiety when i was falling asleep, and i didn't like the quality of sleep it gave me. i never took it combined with risperdal.

And you see... the two dance very well together.

Ignore people being assholes in replies. No need for people to be judgy/snobby, especially on a site that is literally about/for people who use drugs.
While AP's can certainly be really bad for some people, they in particular (above anything else) seem to get excessive hate on here. Some people get like psychotically (ironically) angry at anyone saying anything even vaguely positive about them.

If those meds together work for you and help you feel better, that's awesome! I'm happy for you :)
With antipsychotics, you wanna research the side-effects and know how to look out for them, though, because they can cause VERY serious issues that can be permanent. I'll always advocate for people being very well-versed in anything they're gonna be putting in their body.

Sorry to hear you don't seem to be doing well, generally, though. I absolutely "get" the feeling lost thing. I also abuse prescription drugs* due to feeling lost, lonely, extremely empty etc.
If you are feeling very lost/down/alone, please know you can always come on here and talk to us, or even just vent if that's what you need.

*I have Quetiapine and Thorazine in my long list of meds so I also understand how they can help sometimes.

I used quetiapine sometimes, now i only have last antipsychotic chlorprothixene, when i Can sleep even while having benzos, or some weed... IT helps, also helps with depression but because of potential aideeffects i only use them once in a while.

I've been taking Quentiapine and Risperdal for over ten years. They've changed my life, which has been psychotic at times. Now that I'm retired and no longer stressed at work, I've cut the Risperdal in half, and it's working well. I sleep really well and my emotional life is stable (too much for some, but it suits me).
