Hi kids,

Am currently in process of getting off my opiate pain meds, and am conducting experiments utilizing loperamide, gabapentin, and kratom in an effort to rid myself of withdrawals.

If you're like me and have a lap-band, you'll know that the most common ROA of kratom - toss and wash, parachuting, or ingesting the large 00 gel caps - aren't even remotely feasible (see: we will get them stuck, spend 30 mins crying and throwing up, and then spend the whole day on liquids).

I've played with kratom briefly, before I found a practitioner to taper my opiates down, with surprisingly positive results.
However, the only way I could get it down was by dissolving the sawdusty-esque-ness by placing powdered kratom in a bottle, pouring about a cup of hot water with TONS of Splenda into it, shake like hell and then try to gulp without getting it stuck.

BUT, I've heard that very hot water can diminish the potency, and when you're trying to maintain during withdrawals, no bueno.

So, I give you, a few kratom ROA that work for this bander:

APPLESAUCE DE KRATOM:
-Try refining your 5-6mg of powder in a grinder, but only slightly.
-spoon however much your restriction of applesauce into a cup/bowl - for me, I can eat just over a half cup of food, so, I only use a half-cup of applesauce - add cinnamon and Splenda, stir, and then nuke til it's warm.
-add your 5-6g of kratom to the mixture, STIR LIKE HELL.
-keep some very warm water/coffee(my choice of liquid)/tea on hand to sip when you have to chew up some of the powder that has clumped
Enjoy!
I just polished off about 6.5g of bali kratom using this method, and I'm freaking astounded how well it worked - nothing got stuck, the taste wasn't as horrid, and I'm patiently waiting for it to kick in. Whee!!

This method can be substituted with any semi-liquid food that will microwave nicely - I would avoid non-substances such as yogurt (unless it's room-temp, it can be a bitch to eat on its own when chilled) and chilled drinks, as the kratom retains its course, saw dusty texture when added.

Just be sure to not microwave the food too much; again, I'm not 100% sure, but, I'm really not one to take chances when I need withdrawal relief!

Ah the pleasant tongue-numbing has set in...thank sweet baby jeebus for kratom.

Why not just make a tea by heating water just under a boil then add the kratom for 15 mins and strain with a t-shirt? If you have a lap band and must take it easy on your GI then why bother consuming the powder at all? It's unnecessary, especially if you have any sort of stomach problems. Kratom is VERY stable when it comes to heat as long as the water is not at a roaring boil. My tea dose is only half a gram higher than my TnW dose and it feels alot cleaner and easy on the stomach. Just my 2¢ for what it's worth.

It's not so much the actual stomach as it is the esophagus - if the bite/swallow is too large and bulky, the esophagus restricts and the item will be forced out via vomiting...it's hard to chug liquids - my own restriction isn't that much, and even I have a hard time swallowing the powder =(

I left some yogurt out to get to room temp earlier at work, it was actually pretty good! Not bad =)
