Misc Kratom Question

I have been clean for 37 days from a year long heroin stint, I found a little bit of kratom (Red Vein Sumatra) I had from the past I used for acute withdrawal from the heroin. I have a bad case of PAWS right now, I heard kratom can help, but my question is will the kratom affect the healing and recovery process I am going through? or can I take the kratom, (I have mabey 2 doses) without affecting my brain's recovery process I am undergoing?

I would pass on the kratom if u are clean already and dont need it for a taper.i dont think sobriety is worth the risk IMO but u know yourself better than we do .and i dont believe kratom shows up on a piss test because its not poppy based its a separate plant.but im not 100% sure...i hope not..lol

I agree with PoTuS, using kratom would most likely help the PAWS feelings, but it's also a good way of potentially getting yourself in the same situation with kratom as you were with H. While a kratom addiction is, in general, much easier to live with than one to heroin, if you are already past the acute stage then I would say just leave it alone. Using kratom would most likely be a step backwards on your path to sobriety.

Kratom will not cause a false positive for opiates/opioids in a UA. There are tests, however, that can test for kratom metabolites but I doubt that is something to worry about considering it is legal in most places.

Yep, not much more to add but my personal example.
I got clean from a relatively small but long-lasting Opiate habit last year and thought after ~3 months that I could take some Kratom again...
End of the story was going from Kratom over Codeine/DHC back to Buprenorphine which was my drug of choice before.

So yeah, just throw it away.
