Harm Reduction Kratom Help Please

I have never had any experience with Kratom. My spine and hips are in serious pain, so we ran down to the head shop 10 minutes before they closed. We were in a hurry so I just grabbed any brand of the red maeng da strain. How much would you take? I have seen 2-3 grams, but that is risky because I can't seem to find ANYTHING about Botanicals Oasis online.

I took one gram and I will see how it goes.1553315534

I took one gram and I think I could do cartwheels. My pain has gone from an 8 to a 3.

My face is hot and my lips feel droopy. I hate opioids, but damn if it doesn't work. Hubs has the munchies.

I'm stocking up before they ban it. I'll be picking up a white strain in the AM before work.

I want to be hot and droopy from a gram of kratom...
 
oh man. im envious of your kratom tolerance!

i remember back in the day when i was a wee little baby before kratom got big and before my opiate tolerance climbed when i could do 2-3g and be fucked beyond belief.
be careful with a different strain! every strain can effect people drastically different, i.e., both whites and reds can cause nausea depending on the person, you might need a higher or lower dose of the white vs the red, etc. so dose it carefully and dont just go based off of the dose you took of the red.

I was sort of warm the first day. I took 2 before work, 2 after lunch at 2 at 9 pm. The pain comes back every 6 hours like clockwork. I haven't really felt high, but I do feel better than I have in years.

It isn't doing anything for the compressed nerves (my feet and shins are numb) but man I feel like a new woman.

Also, I can't find anything on this particular brand so it may not be that strong or of a good quality

Not necessarily. Im sure there are a lot of genuine, high quality kratom products/brands out there without much if any info about them online.

What you have maybe inferior or it could be very good quality for all anybody knows but the main thing is that it has been working for you for now.

Actually I just tried this exact strain myself tonight for the first time a few hours ago. I already took 5 grams of white Sumatra earlier today.

I think I have noticed the red Thai maeng da having a very relaxing effect on my mind and thought processes. Yes, definitely, now that I think about it I do feel surprisingly mentally calm and clear-headed. And I did read about clear headedness being one of the attributes of the mango strain I definitely feel that right now.

It doesn't take much. And I've never heard of that vendor so I can't really say much about it. BUT.. I will say that most head shops don't have the quality stuff. Get it from a quality vendor and then tell me what you think. Go to the American Kratom Association page and go to the GMP page and choose one on the list.

5!? and this is the 1st time taking it? Damn, I puked on 2.5 when I 1st tried a red for the 1st time. 1 gram did me good.

After a couple years of use 1-1.5g still dulls the pain and blurs the edges. Seems as long as one doesn't "chase" euphoria, once one finds proper maintenance dose it can (IMO) be sustained.
Kratom has been more effective (all around) than opiates or opioids or whatever.
Super glad it is working for you. I had serious doubts but it "speaks" for itself.
i got some recently from my "dealer" that is like taking 20mg oxi (pain relief - not the euphoria), .5mg alprazolam (anxiety/mood elevation), 15mg amphetamine salt (focus and energy) and .5g good weed (munchies ;) ). All this in 1- 1 1/2g. I dose ~3g before work split in two an hour apart. Good til about noon and another g. Un fucking believable.

Haha, we seem to have a knack you and I for getting our wires crossed allowing a misunderstanding to develop.

No this was not my first time taking kratom.

It was my first time taking this strain tonight, Red Maeng Da. But I only took 4.3 grams.

It was the White Sumatra which I took 5 grams of earlier. So 9.3 grams total for today.

It was about 3 1/2 to 4 weeks ago that I started taking kratom yesterday I had two 6 gram doses, 6 hours apart. I have taken more than that in a single day but I did actually get quite nauseous last night and I felt pretty sick and struggle to eat my food very well without much of an appetite.

I have have caused myself to feel sickly a few times now pushing the boat out, testing the permiters. Definitely not fun.

From getting toasted off of 1g to taking 6g a day...look who is naive no longer. Better becareful. Dont believe the bullshit, kratom is essentially just as addictive as any other opioid...

i’ve noticed it doesn’t do much for my nerve issues either, but that’s what lyrica or gabapentin is for!

i’m really glad the kratom has worked for you.

i have to take 12-15g now to feel anything from kratom, even though i don’t do it regularly anymore and haven’t for months. i have good product too so it isn’t a potency issue as i’ve also tried multiple reputable vendors. fucking opiate tolerance!!! grrrrr
 
Well I can safely say that my own kratom journey has come true the sudden end for now. It is not just the kratom itself, but everything in my life. I have made myself incredibly unwell by failing to eat and sleep anywhere near enough for too long now and it has been especially bad the past few weeks and I believe the question is preventing my digestive system from taking up nutrients even more than usual and interfering with absorption.

This is personal to me I'm not suggesting this is a general effect with kratom across the board but it may be possible for some people more than others.

But also importantly I just have an extremely sensitive and delicate digestive system and when taking large doses of psychoactive herbs which are known to be problematic with stomach at times I suppose it is inevitable in my own case.

I have certainly been struggling with kratom constipation and I think that is part of my issue right now there is a serious blockage in my digestive system which is preventing me from being able to eat when I'm incredibly underweight and malnourished.

Normally when I get particularly weak when things have slid a little bit I can make a determined effort and get back on top but this time it has felt like I may never recover and could actually die. I can feel my digestive system gradually starting to free up this blockage which is the cause of much of my symptoms which is the most incredible weakness and fatigue I have ever experienced but I barely have been able to stand or get up from my bed more than ever before in my life.

Partly I'm relieved my mum has gone on holiday this week to not see the condition I've got myself into so I still have some time to recover my strength.

As soon as this intestinal blockage freeze itself things will be 200 times better as they always are because when there is a blockage in this area our QI as they call it is literally crushed to nothing and Returns instantly when this is freed.

So I have effectively destroyed my chi for the meantime when I do not have enough available strengths otherwise to manage my condition and my body has been basically screaming out with multiple symptoms because it just can't handle it at this time.

Which is a big wake up call to me to really focus on getting out of this ditch and never feeling like this again if possible.

I'm feeling a significantly better now than I was the past 15 hours but I'll still have a steep climb.

I always knew consciously and subconsciously that I would not be able to continue the fashion for very long I was just enjoying it as much as I could while I did say hence my recklessness regarding dosing every day I meant addiction potential.

Who knows, I may still be able to use the kratom occasionally like on the weekends when I am feeling better.
It could also be strained dependent because I took 2 strains to my chiropractor the other week who specialises in muscle testing similar to kinesiology but different and she can test and treat all types of allergies it's amazing stuff which truly works, and has saved my life many times.

Anyway I was expecting both the green Malay and white vein Borneo kratom to muscle test as being not very good for me indicating an intolerance or allergy.

To my surprise the green Malay muscle tested as being absolutely fine whereas the white Borneo tested weak indicating poor suitability.

I have not been taking the green Malay exclusively and I tried two different strains yesterday I did also have nausea all day from the first dose which was a white strain and I have heard that white strains can be more disposing towards nausea.

So it stops for now. And actually I don't miss it and I'm really not bothered I've been feeling ok in many ways today without the effects despite having used it very heavily vs my tolerance for 4 weeks probably daily.

Part of me kind of wanted to experience the withdrawal house of interest to see just how bad it is and how it would affect me personally and how long it would take take for the sake of education and curiosity, and getting to know the substance better.

So I've no idea if I am also experiencing withdrawals because I'm feeling incredibly ill in so many ways it's difficult to say, but I'm not sweating about that at all and certainly I'm coping much better mentally and emotionally without the kratom effect than I anticipated.
 
Be careful Lady, because kratom is physically addictive like other opioids. If you start taking it multiple times a day, it'll get you soon. Of course if your life is dramatically improved due to pain relief, you might be alright with that if you keep the dose low and don't escalate it. Otherwise you'll soon find you're taking 50 grams a day and if you stop for 6 hours you start getting withdrawals. That was me for years, it was shit.
