Opioids Kratom cross tolerance or antagonist effects?

I've read both that kratom blocks opiates or it is simply tolerance since kratom works on the same receptors. I recently found an old bottle of oxycodone 5/325 but am hesitant to take any as I've had mixed results in the past. A few months ago I got a prescription of Vicodin 10s and if I took 10 of them, I could get a buzz but nothing mind blowing. However, I also have done a Oxycontin 30 and had great results. However, another time I took 60mg of Vicodin and felt nothing. My kratom tolerance right now is pretty high.

So, from experience or your actual knowledge, would it be worth it to pop say 5 or 10 of the oxycodones or would it be a waste?
 
Of the half dozen or so various varieties of kratom I've seen on GCMS, none of them have any sort of appreciable antagonist content.

Oxycodone is stronger than hydrocodone per milligram and also has a much higher affinity for mu opioid receptor than mitragynine, so unless you're taking truly massive amounts of kratom you should easily feel the effects of 10mg.
 
Thank you. This morning I took my usual dose which is 10-12 grams because I have a weak overseas batch but waited until this afternoon to take any of the oxycodone. Took 30mg I do feel it working.

I do feel it's more of a cross tolerance issue than it is being the antagonistic effects. I believe that the opiate antagonist only comprises of about .01% of the dry leaf, and it is mainly something opiate addicts repeat ad nauseam, so they can validate using a drug that hits the opiate receptors.

Before I started taking Kratom, 10-15mg of oxycodone could get me nice for a few hours. Then I took nothing but plain leaf kratom for about 6 months. After I got a new oxy connect, it took almost 80mg to get high off the oxy and I honestly didnt even feel it until I took my kratom dose after it.

For a plant that only gives you a minor buzz, it sure does raise your opiate tolerance.
