Kratom + temazepam = why it dosent work?

So I noticed that when I took 1g UEI kratom (good dose for me) that worked great and then I took temazepam, kratom effects started to decrease. First I took 10mg temazepam and didn't notice much of any boost, so I took little by little more temazepam and hoped that it would boost kratom, but in the end after I had took around 50mg temazepam, kratom effects were almost completely vanished.

So how come this happens? With normal opioids benzos boost them greatly, but with kratom they decrase the effects of kratom. Anyone else notices this?

Also this time I going to combine 320mg codeine (making me almost nod) with 20mg temazepam, so has anyone got experience with it? That temazepam really boosts it not decrease it. Also do you think 20mg (have almost none tolerance to benzos atm, 20mg makes me sleep good) is enough but also safe for boosting that kind of huge dose of codeine? Don't wanna waste my last codeine. ;)

Thanks. :)

Kratom has a special effects profile, it has both stimulant and opiate qualities, although I'm not sure that entirely explains your reaction to temazepam and kratom. Kratom does vastly different things to different people. How is your tempazepam/benzo experience?

Codeine and temazepam, on the other hand...I'm sure you'll enjoy that. :)

1g UEI kratom gives me very nice opiate effects, close to nodding, so none of stimulant effects. I usually take temazepam for sleeping, 10-20mg makes me sedated and stress free so I easily get sleep, it dosen't make me sleepy like anti-pychotics tho'.

^That's very odd then, and temazepam eliminated the opiate effects of the kratom or just overpowered/masked them?

I've certainly heard of benzos overpowering opiates, esp. weaker ones such as kratom, but never eliminating their effects...

For me kratom works almost as good as buprenorphine or tramadol (or o-desyltramadol that was really strong for me). Codeine also has strong effects on me on 300mg+ doses.

When I took temazepam with kratom, the warm euphoric effects of kratom vanished, so basically didn't feel anything after that, not even sedation from temazepam. But I've read few threads bout kratom+benzo combination and lots of people also have experienced this.

Indeed. I've never had it happen to me, though.

I'm sure you'll have favorable effects with the codeine + temazepam combo, however :)

Ok thats good to hear, thanks for help. :)

Never had any recreational effects from temazepam at least up to 60mg. Just meh feeling, but for sleep its great. =D

Benzos dull pretty much everything IME... Even if they add to the sedation like is the case with classical opiates, I don't find it to be nearly as enjoyable as the opiate in itself. I'm imagining that something similar is happening with you.
