weekend addiction

I'm going to give a bit of background before I delve into the experience. After trying heroin (the first opiate I tried) three times when I was 17 I was always interested in opiates. Thankfully I was too naive to know where\how to get them at the time. So a year later I found kratom and used it pretty regularly for three or four months. This was followed by 2 and a half years of a severe opiate addiction. The kratom didn't lead to the opiate addiction I just finally found a connection for opiates. After much effort I got clean of all opiates. My tolerance was through the roof. I thought about the good old days when I would drink a cup of kratom and enjoy the effects free of cravings and addiction. But I knew it wouldn't even touch me after all the pills I'd been taken. So I decided that I would wait.
Well yesterday was the day. I hadn't touched opiates for 5 months. Once a month use for the 12 months before that. I knew I would be in for some kind of effects but would they be enough? And would they lead me down a bad road again if they were or weren't?
On this day I had eaten plenty of food. Also of note I drink 6 or more standard drinks a day. I had taken .75mg of klonopin that morning as well.
11:00pm- Drank a 9% double IPA called double simcoe
12:00- I get home from the bar and add a tablespoon of powdered bali to a simmering coffee cup full of water. I stir it and let it sit for a few minutes.
12:05- Down the cup of kratom and chase it with some pepsi. The taste was shockingly familiar. Fresh, slightly lemon-like, and very natural. Like any old cup of tea. Not revolting in the slightest.
12:25- My mouth feels numb and I'm starting to feel euphoric and energetic. I smoke a little bit of some good weed.
12:40- The weed and the opiate-like effects of the kratom hit me quite nicely. I feel a psuedo-nod.
12:50- I step outside for a cigarette. Unlike most opiates kratom doesn't make me enjoy the cigarette more.
1:15- I crack open a beer. When I was younger I wasn't much of a drinker and never mixed kratom with alcohol. I wanted to see how well they worked together. I have heard that they are a good combo and I have heard the opposite. So I made myself a guinea pig.
1:45 I throw up and some how that made me feel better (I wasn't feeling bad at the time vomitting just made me feel better).
2:00- I go to sleep and get 10 hours of beautiful rest.
The next day I felt a nice afterglow. All and all a great experience. I was surprised by the mouth numbing effect as I had never received that before. However I always filtered my tea in the past so maybe thats the difference. Also I think the reason for the vomitting was that with all the alkaloids in my stomach adding an alcoholic bubbly drink like beer wasn't the best idea.
