I get 60 mg clonzepam 1.0 / 20 days but I never get relief. I can take as many as I want and have little effect. Is there anyway it could be placebo? I get the 1.0 little blue ones with a cursive v on one side. Does anyone know if non geeneric works better?

This 'brand vs generic (in all varieties)' debates is endless. I WILL say the following : I'd just suggest requesting a different manufacturer. See if it's just the generic you get that you don't recognize as useful. If the second choice doesn't seem to work for you perhaps it's just klonopin/clonazepam in general.

If that is the case - tell your Doctor and have him/her help you out in trying a different benzo (assuming you are getting it for anxiety/panic disorder... etc. - something along the lines of a typical 'benzo patient reason') You could try an equivalent dose of valium/diazepam for a long lasting choice, or lorazepam/ativan for a shorter lasting (but nice in potency) choice - for example. Also, xanax/alprazolam works well. I've tried all of these with success - some more than others. Currently I am prescribed clonazepam - Mylan/Tevas/Mallincroft). Loraz and alpraz worked great.

If you take this for sleeping - temazepam is excellent ( I am also prescribed this ). What are you prescribed this for?

*also, you mean #60 1mg, correct ? (this is exactly my script, btw - sweet) and by '20 days' do you mean 2x (twice) a day? I'm not quite sure what that whole sentence 'means'.

Yes woamotive, my error, posted it off my phone. I have tried lorazepam once and it is the same as Ativan before it seems to be the best option because I don't think dr. Would give me alprazolam. I think Ativan would be my best choice. Short acting is what I need. What is tempezam? Butchered sorry, I am prescribed these for panic attics. I for some reason is directed to take 1 mg 3 times a day and since I get sixty my insurance covers it every twenty days, even the pharmacist asks why and are skeptical.

clonazepam is indicated for panic i believe but really a short acting benzo should be used for panic attacks because of their sudden onset. alpraz or loraz is best.

clonzepam and diazepm is best or generalized anxiety. IME.

a dr is not going to be comfortable scripting a short acting over a long acting though since the abuse potential is more and the potential wd is more severe.

if you are indeed having panic attacks talk to your dr as clonazepam doesnt really kick in fast enough for it and would last longer than most attacks. you could use the SL route, which i do....but its just not the best for panic attacks.

I do have an opinion about generic clonazapam being shit. The Mylans without a doubt feel at least twice as weak as the Teva's I get from my other pharmacy.

That being said, we don't allow "Brand vs Generic" threads here in od, as stated in the guidelines. I am going to close this. Please PM me if you hve any problems/questions/concerns.

Thanks

Mike
