Undercover 2019 Netflix Dutch/Belgian
This series makes it look like the local plod, I live 15 miles from where this story was filmed/actually based, have got brains and are smart.

In that actual town the police got called out to a 'firearms incident' where an old boy collector was showing off his illegal collection of guns to his mates.

It's a town where the nazi's confiscated any firearms....

One guy ended up getting shot by accident in the leg during this 'demonstration'.
Hospital means the police got called out, search warrant issued.

I won't mention what they found, but the chief dude told the guy after the search warrant. Or you'll loose the guns and it will cost you 6 grand or you will loose the guns and you won't hear a thing about it again....

Let's see who's got brains here.

I'm about to press another load of criminal charges against the corrupt and incompetent cps once again....for once not against the corrupt and incompetent pedo wankers rozzers...

The story in this series is something I have said years ago and the I can't remember the gay dude's name who also said this.
Any xtc sold in the uk in the 90's was made locally, give or take 40 miles.

Which explains the film 'Essex boys', several were made all a bit not so good.

There used to be this Russian tv series I watched every once in a while yeeeeears ago. The premise was someone would drive a car fitted with a tracker that the police would actively track, if you evaded the police for an hour, you won the car (or maybe a chunk of money, I forget which).

But if you get caught, you get carted off to jail for stealing the car and evading the police. And all that entails.

You don't mention what sort of crime shows/films you're after.
Polisse
Well, like any of the one's in the list I posted before :

Babylon Berlin
Occupied
Wallander
Chernobyl
Forbrydelsen
Baptiste
Generation War
State of Play
The Night Manager
World On Fire
The Saboteurs
C.B. Strike

Some of these are really great, so check them out is you're not familiar! European crime series are a cut way above anything from the US.

Midsomer Murders? has it been mentioned?
not sure how this works... would it be too much trouble to add to op as they appear? i love cross the pond media and will keep an eye on this. wife turned me on to them so obviously shes into it.

Undercover 2019 Netflix Dutch/Belgian
I've finally watched the first 9 episodes and it ends there...it's 'netflix' to keep you watching.
Bar the actual location, the dude who it is about, the mole in the police, the informants attended the wedding not the other way round, all the rest is a bit over the top bs.

La casa de papel, totally worth watching for the first two series at least after that it goes like anything netflix totally naff, this is a fictional story though afaik.

Hej!
Yeah, we quit watching Undercover half way through, just not high enough profile for us. Maybe try Baptiste - that's a good one. In fact, all the ones first listed above are great.
Thanks for the tips, and keep going!

Ah c'mom, I finished Undercover. And also watched the movie Ferry. It held my attention. And wow can I abandon shows. lol

Does Wentworth count? Never mind, that is Australian.

I need a new show so I may go through that list.

Are subs ok, or are you looking for English only?
Well I can take it dubbed english. Not reading because it is a different language. But you know I am not really familiar with Netflix and different languages. But if it can be dubbed like Undercover then I can watch it.

Movie day for the wife and I on Sat and Animal Kingdom was the first up. The TV show can be suspenseful but not too realiistic. So I want to see the oritginal.
