Toz was addicted to opiates for 7 years, he recently quit taking his subutex 5 months ago and he been completely clean from all narcotics since. He had been taking 12mg daily for 5 years. Today while cleaning his house he found 10x 5mg ketobemidone pills. He remembered the nice feeling opiates used to give him years back and decided to IV 20mg of them. He figured this dose would maybe be on the low end, but better safe than sorry right? Well, he only had 2ml syringes too, so cramming more than 4 pills into it seemed really hard. After 4 pills the solution got so hard to filter + he was anxious to try and IV opiates again. After all, he has not done it in several years. He remembered how nice heroin used to feel and how all of his problems would fade into oblivion as he was wrapped in a warm blanket. Being a seasoned IV user, he hit the vein on the first try and pressed the plunger down. He felt the warmth, but it was not intense at all. Not anywhere near what he remembered dope was like. To be perfectly honest, he was dissappointed. Has all these years of maintenance therapy ruined his ability to get high? Or is the dose just too weak? Toz has heard many nice things about ketobemidone, some even stand by it and say it's better than heroin. Toz would like to try doubling the dosage but he doesn't really know if it's even worth the hassle of taking about 45 minutes to filter all these pills, or if the solution would even be possible to filter after 5 pills with only 2ml of water.

Now toz is wondering, will it ever be as good as it once was? Can Toz get the feeling of that "first time" again? Or should he just give up and move on with life?

He also wonders if he can use ~1000mg of dextropropoxyphene + 10mg morphine orally + the last 30mg ketobemidone IV to potentiate this mild high.

I honestly don't think your are going to get much advice on ketobemidone, unless the few Europeans who may come in contact with it chime in.

No, opioids never feel as good as your first time again. There is actually a lot of truth in that anti-heroin ad that says something like, "It'll never feel as good as your first time, but you may die trying". Also, once you start using opioids again a significant portion of your old tolerance will rapidly return within a few days; tolerance will build much faster than it does in a person using opioids for the first time. Dependence will build faster too. It is extremely easy to go right back to addiction. Your brain will rationalize it saying, "Oh that wasn't the good high I was hoping for, I'll just use again tomorrow because I want to experience that perfect high one last time," and so on.

Yes, you should just give up and move on with life.
