Ketamine cross tolerance with LSD

I'm assuming that there is no cross tolerance between LSD and ketamine, since LSD is mainly a 5ht agonist and ketamine is NMDA/sigma/dopamine related.

But one issue perplexes me. I have seen some posts on BL and anecdotal reports that heavy ketamine abuse contributes to a reduction in LSD visuals. Even a friend of mine said that her former roommate did heavy doses of ketamine regularly, and when he tried tripping on LSD he felt the body load and mental alteration, but saw no visuals. He did see them previously, but after his ketamine abuse he lost the ability.

If ketamine abuse can cause resistance to LSD or change the nature of the high, that suggests there is shared activity between the two substances. Does anyone have any info they can contribute to this?

My other question, which is completely unrelated, is if I decide to some day do LSD and ketamine together, how should the dosing ratios be altered? Half the dose of each, with ketamine taken at the peak of the LSD?

Interesting question, I've never had ketamine affect my trips in that way. As for the dosing, I would take your normal dose of LSD and just slowly work up your ketamine dose until you find a comfortable level. I prefer dissociatives at the tail end of a trip but it really comes down to you.

Ketamine abuse (and all NMDA antagonists like MXE and DXM) is a surefire way to develop psychosis. There are a ton of studies out there documenting dissociatives as some of the most psychosis inducing drugs, way above the risk of LSD or DOx. I'd bet this has something to do with it. There is always the possibility that some of acid's cascading effects (after initial receptors are hit) work on the same systems as ketamine and can attribute to the loss in visuals. For me personally, I find that ketamine enhances visuals, although I have never abused it and try to only use it whilst tripping.

I do indulge in Ketamine on a regular basis. And Ket crossed with acid is one of my mates best combos. Usually through would drop 300 - 500ug wait around hour or two and then start dosing k all night as find it goes in sync with the euphoric acid buzz (so i am probably not the best bl'er to advice on the dosing ratios, but good luck) Also i do know few mates who tried this combo and let's say it's not for the weak-minded.
