I can get some ketamine, but it's mixed with xylazine (for use as animal anesthetic).

There is heaps of information about the recreational value of ketamine and its risks, etc but I don't know much about xylazine and how that effects the ketamine. Is it dangerous? What are the safe dose ranges in humans? Anyone got links to information about it? I'd like to try ketamine, but I don't want to overdose myself, etc so I want to know more before I blindly chug some.

Yeah, that doesn't sound like something I'd want in my ket. Probably not a good idea to guinea pig it. The wiki article mentions that aside it's used to induce vomiting in cats (and presumably other animals?) as well as for sedation. Sedated and vomiting is not a brilliant combo. Usually vet ket is no different to any other ket, in my experience, but sounds like you found one that is and not in such a good way. Better luck next time :\
