Ketamine and the Gym

Since ketamine works by stopping your brain from sending signals to your body - at least, that's how it works to my knowledge - would doing it after the gym affect your muscle regeneration? For example, I know alcohol is bad if you wanna work out, because it uses up a lot of your hormones, and those are essential for a proper workout. What about ketamine?

Thanks!

I imagine it would dull the pain and let you go harder, but the nausea and lack of coordination are reason enough for me to never try this.

I don't know why I put before, my biggest concern is doing it after the gym. How would it affect my body's muscle regeneration?

I doubt it's any worse than drinking heavily, but to be honest I have no idea. Of course, it is used in surgical settings so it can't dramatically affect the healing process or it wouldn't be of much use.

Non-chronic Ketamine use seems to have much less of an endocrine impact than Alcohol, Opioids, Stimulants, or Benzos. I do not think it would be a big deal so long as you do not become dependent on it.

The building of muscles doesn't have a lot to do with motor-neuron pathways. Just because Ketamine causes discoordination, that does not mean that the endocrine processes leading to muscle-growth are stopped.

I could be wrong of course. However, I have seen (responsible) Ketamine users with wonderfully-built bodies.

Never heard of this with ketamine, but I have heard of (and speak from experience) that working out on DXM allows for feats of particularly enhanced, extraordinary physical prowess in the sense that you will not realize nor be capable of feeling overexertion and thus keep going. I did about 7 sets of alternating push-ups and crunches, 20 each to some Grand Belial's Key once on LSA/DXM without stopping, and jogged around a park for hours. Though at the time it seemed like nothing would result of it, but once I came down I noticed my arms got fucking huge.

Dissociatives in conjunction with working out should be studied more.

If muscle growth is your biggest concern, make sure you get your post workout protein, simple carbs, hydration, etc at a sustainable level until you go to sleep.

If you can keep up the consistent lifestyle needed for muscle growth, a night on ketamine after a workout might be possible with benefit still there.

Whether you take this advice every day or once is probably a bigger deal to your health.
