Kadian 30mgs Morphine with grapefrut?

Will eating a few pieces of grapefruit help absorb the Kadian 30mgs Morphine? I'm taking it for my back but I just wanted to know if the grapefruit will help a little with potency and if so how long do I have to wait in between or could I just take the Kadian pill and eat the grapefruit and just want and see?

To my knowelage, grapefruit does have an effect on morphine. Well, it's supposed to. I never tried real grapefruit but to try to potentiate my morphine and Dilaudid I drank 2 big glasses of grapefruit juice. 100% juice and took Tagamet which is just a stomach acid blocker 30 min prior to dosing. Some people swear by it. Myself, I never had any success with it but if you are a grapefruit 30min or so before taking your Kadian it may effect it. I really don't know much but thought I'd add that.
