JWH's to be banned in US

Holy shit was I the first one to post this stuff? I just saw it on the news, apparently jwh-200, 018, and 073 and a two other CP like chemicals that nobody really gives a shit about were scheduled under the emergency procedures. I find it fucking hilarious that they neglected the other 445 chemicals in that family, with numerous others as of yet undiscovered.

The CB receptor seems that it binds to so much strange stuff that it would be almost impossible to schedule it all in a short time span. There are some completly hydrocarbon based ones or things based on a indole to pyrole nucleus replacement and morpholine ring instead of a pentyl substituent. How the hell do you catch all the stuff in between? The only constant thing is some reasonably large nonpolar chain coming off of the end. What are your thoughts on this, In my opinion they are just going to play leapfrog down the JWH-XXX series until the next big thing hits the RC market or they just schedule the whole damned thing, and even that might not stop the analogues from coming.

I edited your title so its more accurate... they aren't yet banned (it takes place in a month) and this is in the US... they are already illegal in lots of places and still legal elsewhere.

I don't think this is a big shock, states have been making this illegal monthly and a nationwide ban was nearly inevitable.

Even if they aren't banning all 445 cannabinoids or whatever, most (if not all) of those will be illegal under federal analogue laws.

Since this is cannabinoid discussion I'll toss this over the CD but they might already have a thread on this.

Yeah my title was a bit inaccurate.

But then again, the federal analogues act seems to be a bit hard to apply in a lot of situations, from what I can see the dea usually only seems to go after the explicitly banned ones or things that are just ridiculously similar, think of a pyrole instead of indole nucleus, with the -C(O)-(napthalene) on the 3 position being replaced with CO-CH2-(orthochlorobenzene) as well as the hydrocarbon chain normaly on the indole nitrogen being replaced with a CH2-CH2-(cyclohexane) group. Or imagine that but with a cyclopentadiene and a the ketone oxygen replaced with a double bonded carbon, another completely hydrocarbon structure.

I think it would be pretty hard to draw too many similarities between some of the above and JWH-018, I bet that if a college showed the structure to huffman in casual conversation he would not immediately think of it as an analogue.

Edit- Sorry, I didnt think to check CD as I thought it was only for actual cannabis. Woah did they have a thread on this yesterday? I heard on the news it was announced today?

JWH 018, 250, 200, 081, 073 have been reported as being illegal substances which the DEA will seize within a month.

Stock up RC users. Or find out if your vendor is okay peddling illegal wares. Likely they are not. This will be country wide.
