Well, I'm sure as any of you who've considered buying, or bought JWH-081 (Yes, not a typo, I always clarify that because a lot of people get it confused with 018) find that there are very little/no experience reports about it. I was very worried about getting it for that reason, as of all the drugs I've tried it was the one with the least information available about it.
Anyway last week I bit the bullet and ordered a gram, along with some 4-AcO-DMT. Yesterday both drugs arrived, and in the evening I decided to sample some of the JWH-081. I have tried JWH-073 before and I am an experienced smoker, to compare, JWH-073 was impossible for me to tell apart from regular weed, aside from the quicker come up.
First trial:
Dosage: ~1-2mg
Duration: 2-3 hours
Intensity: + to ++
For an allergy test I put a tiny dot, barely visible, onto a little piece of rolling paper in my pipe. I heated it so that it melted onto the rolling paper, then smoked the rolling paper. I mostly could just taste resin that was left over in my pipe and the taste of burning paper, either the JWH had no taste or I had not smoked enough. Within a couple of seconds I got effects, at first I thought it was resin left over in my pipe, but then I remembered I'd spend months trying to smoke it with no luck - as there wasn't enough there. I sat back down, let the effects sink in, then finished smoking the bit of rolling paper.
The first 10-15 minutes were ++, I felt the high, I felt very euphoric, but it didn't feel "quite there", I wasn't as high as I wanted to be. However for such a small dose I was very happy with that.
Then it faded to a +, like the fading last hour of a weaker resin high, which lasted for 2-3 hours. That sounds long, but I imagine for most people it would be a lot shorter - Cannabis typically lasts 4-5 hours for me even with a high tolerance.
Second Trial:
Dosage: ~5-7mg
Duration: 3+ hours (Went to sleep high)
Intensity: ++ to +++
After I had proved that I had gotten no adverse effects from the first dose, I decided to try a bigger dose. I placed a larger pile in the pipe, on a bigger piece of rolling paper. I heated it up and I could hear it bubble into liquid, I could already taste some vapour, so I inhaled and let it burn through the rolling paper. In 3 hits I had finished it all, and it hit me pretty hard. My heart was beating like crazy and I felt like I was rushing on a strong stimulant, I had an extremely intense rush of euphoria, much more euphoric than say something like Mephedrone which is up there as one of the most euphoric drugs I've tried.
For 15-20 minutes this euphoria continued, I felt very very stoned, +++ definitely, then the next hour or two I felt pretty stoned, but not as high as I was initially after smoking it, and finally after around 2 hours, it faded to an enjoyable ++. Around 3 hours in I went to sleep, it took a little longer to sleep than with weed, but I suspect that was because it was my first time smoking before sleep (and at all aside from 2x resin and 1x with JWH-073) in 6 months - I slept like a baby, for around 12 hours, and had the usual "Ah crap, can't get out of bed" dreamy state when I woke up. Still feels very dreamy now.
Overall I really like this chemical. It feels closer to a sativa than an indica, but also the body high is very intense on the come up and on the come down it leaves you very tired like a nice indica does. It doesn't feel as close to regular weed as JWH-073 does, and feels almost unique to sativa and indica, but it feels very nice and I look forward to exploring higher doses. The duration seems a little shorter than weed for me, but I was expecting a 1 or 2 hour high at best so I was pleasantly surprised.
If you've been worried about purchasing this one, I say don't worry, but given that I had no tolerance for this trial, I imagine it's a little less potent by weight than 018 and 073. There was zero paranoia even at the peak of both experiences though, no anxiety whatsoever, and it was a very clear euphoric high - so if that appeals to you, you'd really enjoy this I'm sure.
