Stimulants Just got prescribed dexedrine what to expect

So I was on adderall IR's for a long time. Absolutely loved them. Great buzz, super hyper focus, of course bad crash.

Anywho, I went to rehab and they had me on vyvanse, saying it was less addicting. Heres the thing tho, I absolutely, HATED them. :sus: I would get 2 hours of feeling decent, focus, and then the remainder of the day, it felt like a all day comedown. And a bad fucking one. I got worse comedowns off vyvanse than I did off adderall IR and XR (surprisingly I got worse comedown from XR's)

My question is I just got perscribed Dexedrine 10mg IRs will they be the same?? I just dont understand why I got such terrible effects from vyvanse. People have told me that dexedrine is much smoother than adderall. My question is will it be different than the awful effects that vyvanse created??

Thanks..been awhile since i been on the forums. Opiate addiction rehab for over a year will do that.
 
Dexedrine is Dextroamphetamine, which makes up the better half of adderall. You got lucky in my opinion, dexedrine is hard to get and better than adderall, which is made up 50% of levoamphetamine which has shitty effects.

quick question though, how the hell do you get dextroamp prescribed when you've been through opiate rehab.???????
 
Should I take a klonopin with it???? or wait for the comedown or both?? Whats a good dose??? Thanks!
 
Easy, I got out of rehab, LOL

Really though, I did make a mistake. When talking to a nurse practitioner, or psychiatrist, and you really DO need certain meds (benzo) for severe social anxiety, dont, and I mean, DONT ever mention you had an addiction problem. It will change everything. I did this, and was lucky enough to get dexedrine, and after alot of reasoning, was able to get klonopin, but have NO chance of getting ativan (my favorite) valium (which i dont care for much) or xanax (which is my altime fav....but its pretty evil in its own way, so im glad I cant get it in the first place)

Im wondering if anyone else has had these horrible effects from vyvanse and any feedback from there own experiences from dexedrine. I have a presentation tomarro and wondering if I should take the dexedrine...I would NEVER do this with vyvanse because of the negative effects. Should I take a klonopin with the dexedrine??

Surprisingly my report is all about my addiction....ohh...sweet sweet irony :/
 
Take the Dexedrine right before you do your presentation. A benzodiazepine and stimulant are sadly a common combo these days.
 
wait for the come down. last time I combined benzos and amphetamines I ended up robbing a veterinary hospital. the recklessness persistance of that combo tends to lead to some regrettable situations.
 
Honestly, dexedrine and klonopin is a high that rivals opiates in my subjective opinion. Be careful, that's an addicting combo for certain.
 
I was just planning on taking .5 of klonopin....I have to be up by 8 and planned on taking my first 10mg dex....should I take my next dex at 11 in time for my presentation??? How long is the halflife usually for IR dexedrine

and btw That reminds me of a time I stole my friends laptop after doin too many bars and alcohol....the benzos are useful but also have an evil side if you go overboard I agree

also what incrimates?? Like dex first them .5 klonopin?? Or vice versa...

Yeah you're best off leaving the klonopin out until way after the peak of the dexedrine. If you mix them at the same time, the likelihood that youll increase dosages for both goes up dramatically, specifically for people who are predisposed to addictive patterns. The half life of d-amp is around 10 hours, but you'll only be feeling the peak effects for around 4 hours with a couple hours coming down. 10mg is a good dosage for the dex, and .5 in the evening on the clonaz sounds good. Just try and keep them dosages low and you'll avoid most of the problems.

Not a question that is allowed in OD, which I'm sure you didn't intend it in a "sourcing" way for yourself.
Maybe should have added the word "rhetorical" at the end of the sentence.

(crashing....I'm not picking on you, it's just that you put your "foot in it" twice and I'm just reminding you for next time)

Guys please think carefully before you post, you know OD is a strictly Harm Reduction forum.
If this thread starts to sway in the wrong direction it will be closed, let's not let that happen.

Lone1 - A small dose of clonazepam would be fine. Obviously being through rehab, (even though it was for something else), you know that both these meds are very risky for a person with an addictive "gene". So there is no way you should ever use them for recreational purposes, you don't want to have another door close on you for medication that is needed for legitimate purposes.
 
^Yes the first outlined statement was rhetorical, the second was meant to warn the OP of the potential for addiction as far as my experience goes. Sorry about that..
 
^^He did say he was "prescribed" them, and I doubt they were for narcolepsy.
But you can wait and see what the OP says if you want.
 
You say you got 10mg ir's? That's odd cause I was gonna get switched and every single pharmacist I talked to said the on dosage they make in instant release are the 5mg tabs and everything else was dextrostat capsules
