I feel pretty amazing im not lying and my friend keeps saying he feels like he's orgamsing haha.

But i dont want to be addicted will i have cravings or is it not addicting?

^You could have cravings for anything, especially any drug that you find enjoyable.....Cravings are mental....you could crave a sunny day

You are messing around with a drug that's very physically addicting and has a long half-life, so you shouldn't use it too often or you could become addicted and experience withdrawals, which are kind of like a form of physical craving

Thanks for the answer man il wait a few weeks before taking again or never again

subutex/suboxone isnt a dur ghwere u can take it just one time and you will mever magically have opiate cravings again, you have to take suboxone/subuxtex daily to combat opiate cravings and physical withdrawl

bupe (suboxone/subutex) is a partial agonist opioid, meaning it only effects certain parts of receptors for opiate addicts, some people can take subutex, suoxone everyay and literally lose all mental cravings for opiates, while some people still have powerful mental cravings for heroin, and stop taking suboxong, and do heroin, and go back to subs to avoid physical WD, alot of people use sub as a tool to use opiates and just take sub to not suffer WD..everyone is different, me i lost mental cravings for opiates on suboxone, once in awhile i would skip a day to enjoy heroin, but most part it helped. subs will help physical WD for the heaviest heroin addict, the mental part is hit or miss, but i ende dp sellling my subs to substitute to smoke crack, and by benzos. i wasnt responsible toh old a script. im on methadone now and literally the thought of opiates pass thru my head within seconds, i can care less about it, but since im being lowered down on my methadone i noticed i been thinking of heroin a lot, methadone helps ALOT, and u dont get high from it, i was on 130mg, i got kicked out da program for benzo use, im down to 60mg, starting to feel sick and thinking of doing heroin

You definitely can get addicted to Subutex, or any other drug (Suboxone, Buprenex, Temgesic etc..) which contains Buprenorphine.

Buprenorphine is a semi-synthetic opiate derived from 'Thebaine'. What makes it different from other Opiates/Opioids is that its:

  • A Partial Agonist, meaning that it only stimulates our opiate receptors to a certain point, after which, increasing the dose will not increase opiate effects like full agonists, such as euphoria, resperirtory depression etc..
  • Buprenorphine has a much longer half life than most other opiates (after 36 hours only 1/2 of the drug is elliminated from ones system). This means that if you continue to take Subutex/Suboxone daily, it will build up on the previous dose, just like methadone. It also means that while you may not feel any opiate effects, your body still has plenty of Bupe left in it after 24 hours, which is why it is popularly used for detox, as the drug is eliminated at a much slower rate.

Buprenorphine is often (falsely thought) to be "less" addictive than full agonist opiates/opioids just because it is only a "partial" agonist. However, Buprenorphine agonistic activity is very strong, equal to about 30 or 40mg of Methadone. To give another impression of how strong it is, IV infusions of .3mg of Buprenorphine is equivalent to and IV dose of 10mg Morphine (except the Buprenorphine lasts longer). Don't fuck around with Subutex or Suboxone to get high, you can easily get dependent to a very potent opiate that takes much longer to withdrawal from than the more common narcotics of abuse like Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, as well as Heroin.

A lot of young people are totally strung out on suboxone/subutex. They are using it as a means of their first opiate experience, like a lot of us old timers used oxy or vic's, etc. Every day I hear about more young people being caught with suboxone, etc. It confused the shit out of me in the beginning back when people thought you "couldn't get high on it". Now it's acting as a gateway drug to things like H when it was supposed to be created to help get off of it. Hows that for fucked up and ironic?

In the early days when I first started getting my sub scripts, I had a few friends who really only fucked with weed, coke, ex and psychedelics....I tried given a few of those guys just crumbs broken off the pills and they were fucked up! Like they did dope! I gave it to a few people I met when we were camping in the woods once, I told 'em it was an opiate like Vics or oxy...They took it and got Fucked up!

It's never gotten me high, but I realize that it does fuck up some people....and the people who put the cart before the horse and start on bupe? that fucking annoys me, because those are the people making the whole thing even stricter!...I guess I can't blame 'em though....If I could bombed for only a few dollars I guess I'd do it too!

My friend who is opiate naive wanted to try suboxone, so I gave him somewhere between 0.25 and 0.5mg to take sublingually and that was more than enough for him. He said he was happy that he listened to my dosing advice (especially the part where I told him to wait 2 hours before considering re-dosing due to it taking a long time to peak, since he said he probably would have taken another dose 30 minutes after the initial dose since it hadn't fully hit him yet) otherwise he would have ended up sick.

A lot of people end up getting very sick the first time they take suboxone or subutex since they underestimate its potency, and due to the long half-life they end up being sick for the whole day, and often wake up with a wicked opioid hangover.

Yeah I've seen this many times. Brutal. Bupe is powerful shit. It's not something to mess around with.

im new to this forum and thought id add my experience of using temgesic [ buprenorphine ],
i first got given a script of t's in 1982 and used to iv between 3-6 of the 0.2 tabs once a day for over fifteen years, they were my drug of choice.
used to be an awesome high-no rush like morphine sulphate but the high lasted all day.
this IS NOT A DRUG TO PLAY WITH,the withdrawals were bad,not as bad as methadone but still a real head f--k.
i was on methodone until twelve months ago[270mg orally aday]until my liver said enough,
since then im on a script of 300mg x 3 [900mg] morphine sulphate daily orally and 25mcg fentanyl patches,
so at 50 years old next month my opinion is id give temgesic [buprenorphine] a miss because it is VERY addictive
