Harm Reduction IV'ing nicotine solution

I've got three large bottles of nicotine as I was given for free on the NHS along with my e-cigarettes. They are intended for nasal spray, but they sting your nose really bad. I can open the bottles.

There is 10mg/ml of nicotine in the solutions, and 10ml in total. Each spray gives you 0.5mg of nicotine, recommended dosage being 1mg (opne in each nostral) every 30-60 minutes.

I'm not going to IV this, don't worry Just curious as to what would likely happen if someone did IV 5mg pure nicotine (5x nasal dosage) ?

Sounds really dangerous, but I know of a few cases in which people have tried this (they did not die). Nicotine is, however, lethal in high doses so this would seem like a really pointless exercise to me considering the risk/benefit ratio.

Why would anyone want to IV nicotine? Tolerance may be at play, I remember reading that as little as 2 mg of nicotine can be fatal.

I have read somewhere that you can die quite easily from nicotine poisoning, even absorbing it through the skin can make you extremely sick, and fatal in some cases. Only a tiny amount gets into your body from skoking it. I'm sure Mr B. would know more about this given his fondness for smoking the nasty substance.

I wouldn't do it. For starters, it isn't formulated for IV use and lastly, nicotine is toxic. You dose it wrong an you will either end up severely ill or dead.

Just found this too from the packet "Other ingredients are: Disodium Phosphate, spdium dihydrogen phosphate, sodium cloride, citric acid, polysorbate 80, β-iodine, methly and propyl parahydroxybenzoate ( E216 and E218 ), disodium edetate and water"

I'm ashamed to say that I did IV this stuff once. However, I calculated and weighed the dose extremely carefully...can't remember what the dose was but I do remember I felt like...I'd smoked a cigarette. Yep. The only reason I did it is because of an old study where people supposably could not distinguish between cocaine and nicotine... yeah total bs. Not worth the hole in your arm.

also I think that tobacco from ciggaretes is used in so called "czaj" is some prisons.

Nicotine is rapidly absorbed from the lungs, there's no need for IV usage.

And that about handles that.
