It doesn't even make me feel high! Which really surprises me since I know someone who plays soccer and takes it without prescription. He takes 5mg...5! And says it makes him feel very good.

but me, on 20mg IR, might make me feel an elevated mood, but that's it. No needing to do stuff, cleaning for hours, etc. and I'm like pure. I've never even done weed. I've drank twice, but that's it.

Anyway, the first time I took Adderall, it was an hour 30 minutes after I ate pancakes. i didn't feel anything for 1 hour and thought it didn't work. I didn't really care, I wasn't gonna take another one.

Then, it hit me. I started feeling like I was excited, but I didn't know what about. Then I remembered I took Adderall earlier. My face felt tingly and my body felt different. I felt stimulated, but I didn't have the need to jump around and do stuff. In fact I layed back in the couch and used my phone. I don't remember how long the feeling lasted. It made me not hungry all day tho.

The second time I took it was a few days after. It was about 30 minutes after I ate. It included cheese, lime and soda. I didn't really feel different at the place I went. I felt no where near how I felt the first time I took it.

Every time I took Adderall, there was a day or days in between each dose. I only took one when I took it, as that's how I was instructed.

In the beginning, it would wake me up and give me energy, but it would last over an hour(maybe it was my sleep pattern, which sucked even before the Adderall).

I did notice tho, that after I felt it was wearing off, or the "happy" feeling was gone, I felt like, apathetic. Not sad, but it was a feeling id rather not have. Nothing made me happy, I wasn't depressed tho.

Every time I take it when I'm out, during the few times I get a bit happier, it goes away fast. I don't know. Maybe it's the thought of going back home and not doing anything. But then I think of doing stuff with people, and not even that makes me feel better, so it's like I don't know what I want.

its also made me irritable, and gave me a headache one time.

there was a time which for some reason it was like it did nothing to me. It didn't even suppress my hunger. I didn't take t for over a week tho, and I took it today and it suppressed my hunger and dried my mouth.

but yeah, it makes me a bit happier, but it's not constant for like an hour. It's a guess "constant" for like 20 minutes, then it comes again for like 10 seconds and goes.

I did notice that once when it made me awake and energized, it didn't help me focus. My distractions were the same. Even on videos.

i do suspect I have ADHD. I was diagnosed with inattentive. I've read about it, and it really sounds like me.

I I got my 30 pill bottle in December and still have 7 pills left BTW.

The recovery forums aren't really the right place to ask how to get high or enhance your performance with drugs/meds. A therapeutic dose of amphetamine isn't supposed to make you feel high, you might not notice an obvious effect yourself, but if your performance in some kind of an IQ test were measured, you might get measurably better results when on amphetamine (especially if there's a lack of sleep limiting your performance).

To really feel a "high" from stimulants, they usually have to be snorted, plugged or even IV:d so that they reach the brain quickly, but this kind of use is also a lot more addictive than oral administration and can ruin your life relatively quickly if you have addictive tendencies. Also, it's never a good idea to abuse drugs that are prescribed to you for some actual disease, better use your needed medications as directed and if you want to get fucked up just smoke pot, drink beer or something like that.

Nah I'm not really looking to get high, I just thought it would be worth mentioning, since I CANNOT find anything about my situation online. It's all people who've been taking it for years, but I just started.

I just wanted some possible ideas on why.

You say that you were diagnosed with attention disorder right and that's why they were prescribed? When used as directed, they probably aren't going to make you "high" like your friend who uses them for recreational purposes. I used to babysit a little girl whose doctor gave her Ritalin. Her mother had explained to me that they help her to stay focused and keep her from being "hyper". (that's what they called it back in the 70's) If you feel these drugs are not helping you, then have a talk with your doctor.

I have ADD too and I can't "feel" anything for adderall on low/normal doses. I haven't tried to high of a dose - I would assume that people like us would feel something with a higher dose. It definitely doesn't give me energy, I have fallen asleep after taking it. It is supposed to get you to concentrate and focus but sometimes certain types don't work - perhaps your doctor would choose something else?
My personal choice is to self medicate with ephedrine which does help me concentrate. But that's just me.

As already mentioned, this isn't a topic suited to Mental Health, but as I think the OPs question has been answered... I'm just going to close the thread rather than move it elsewhere.

another1keys, if you would like your topic moved to a more appropriate sub-forum to get more response, drop me a PM.
