Harm Reduction IV stimulants - Stereotypical movement

Has anyone ever experienced this upon injecting a stimulant? In my case it was MDPPP and I was rocking back and forth seemingly involuntarily in a very stereotypical fashion for around 2h... I have never heard of this being an acute result of stimulant use or experienced it before.
 
Most stimulants are capable of inducing Obsessive-Compulsive-like behaviours I believe (no reference to hand, sorry, try pubmed)

So an IV dose of a potent stimulant? It's not really a huge surprise that such a response has occurred, but I've not heard of it specifically, nor experienced it myself
 
It didn't feel compulsive, but automated as if I did not consciously induce it. But yeah, you're right, it shouldn't come as a big surprise with the huge role dopamine plays in body movement.

EDIT: Hehe, here here it says that IV meth induces stereotypical and spontaneous body movement in rats!

You never know, the existence of this thread might have put someone's mind at ease, maybe not even a member, maybe just someone freaking out after a big stim dose.

Perhaps they found this, got the information to ease their worries, and now they're having a great time!

No thread discussing effects of a drug is a waste in my opinion! :)

I pace. Hah. Very hard. As soon as I inject, I'm up and moving, tweaking my head off.

I know others who walk in circles, some rock in their chairs, some pick up little pieces of microscopic lint, etc. Hah.

It's a fucked up compulsive set of drugs.

I rocked in my chair as well while moving my upper body. I had no idea it could reach such intensity, despite having used speed for years...

Yeah it can get really bad. I've clenched my fist on and off so many times while tweaking that the next morning I'll wake up and can't even open my hand. Clench my jaw so badly that it hurts to talk. Fucked up shit.

It doesn't really seem worth it, weighing all the pros and cons against each other, does it? My lips hurt like crazy and I have some sort of rugburn on the back of my left hand. The injection site hurts quite a bit as well and all these sides for what? Some fleeting sense of euphoria, ingenuine euphoria... I'll probably have mood issues for a week as well now, bleh.

What I'm taking from this is that my stash has to go, even if I've abstained from it for a few months. These slipups come at such a high price... Also can't keep needles at home and cannot get drunk out of my mind which is the only state that makes me eager to iv anything.

It is most definitely not worth it, man. If you make a list of pros and cons you'll fine the cons list 10x as long as the pros, which is really only one.. "The rush".

So, no, that 30 second feeling is not worth the pile of negative consequences, you're right about that.

LOL yeah man... i say the SAME STUFF to myself every time i think its a good idea to get a bunch of stims and get them then usually binge. I've flushed 10g 3-FA one time then another time flushed like 8g 2-FMA within a few months of each other. I find myself thinking "fuck being tired.. fuck it.. gonna go get a script for Vyvanse again" but i always end up abusing them :(

Most definitely not. I'm bipolar I and shouldn't take any stimulants whatsoever.

I think I should add some information about the after effects I experienced after I had IV'ed what I estimate to be 50-100mg MDPPP. Just take it as a word of warning or as a testament of my idiocy.

-The weird movement patterns continued to appear on and off for the next 3 days with decreasing frequency
-I coughed up blood the first few times I coughed after the experience
-My lips became so dry they tore open in some areas, they are starting to heal now after 3 days
-My eyes felt dried out, vision was blurred for the first 30h or so
-Nosebleeds for roughly two days
-I had a splitting headache which still lingers around
-Complete loss of appetite for the first two days, coupled with nausea
-Anhedonia and lethargy
-Sense of time severely disturbed. I usually have a very good feel for what time it is. Yesterday I woke up after having slept for 1.5h, thinking I had actually slept until the next morning (for 13.5h). After an hour or so this was pointed out by a friend upon my asking him if he had stayed up all night...

Those movement patterns are what disturbed me the most. I have a strong feeling that this stuff isn't very healthy, at least not at these dosages.

Where I come from we like to call injecting chrystal methamphetamine and doing repetetive movements/tasks that are usually pointless "Doing a smash and techin' out." Yes it is very common. If you find Brandasaur here ever doing a iv shot of speed you will most likely see him either techin out or Shufflin. Shufflin also being moving around limbs in dramatic ways uncuntrolably like a crackhead on hastings.
 
Yes... stimulants have a reputation for causing repetitive movements. When I used to snort amphetamines, I would sit and wank for upwards of 2 hours, before quitting out of frustration. The friction was horrible, and my hand and privates hurt the next day. Ha, sorry for the detail but just wanting to contribute to this interesting thread!
 
2 hours is nothing my friend. I have spent an actual full day beating off.

Anyway the last time I banged coke (was a speedball) I fucking hyperventilated with the plunger half way in me. Can't stop licking my damn lips when I'm stimming like that. Till the bleed sometimes.

Anyway I did that after having shot meth earlier that morning.

The dude I was with did the same drugs (spilled his dope doe) Plus a hit of acid and was tripping.

He's a fucking mod here somewhere but won't tell me his username. Have to fucking know.
 
I have a few friends that constantly (and now that I think about it they are all females) move their head, almost like swinging their hair back away from shoulders...and I mean its constant along with all the pacing and not being able to sit still.
 
Btw I caught some Herpes awesomeness as well. That explains the burning eyes, nosebleeds, dry lips and headache at least. Yay for whopping doses of IV stimulants!!! The coughing up blood must've been related to the microcrystalline cellulose and cotton that apparently entered my bloodstream later that night when I hastily injected Doxyamine tabs (without washing my hands mind you) in hopes it would get me ready for that hooker I called over. Omg so low.

Maybe those are tics. I get a lot of tics on speed, especially with my tongue. This felt different since it involved relatively slow contractions of large muscles, but I'm not really educated on this so maybe you're right.

Kinda glad to hear all this btw, it felt so fucking whack doing this... Also very glad I've finally experienced that "oh-so-great" stimulant rush that iv amphetamine never supplied. Definitely not for me. I honestly cannot believe how anyone on this planet could do this on a regular basis. Seems like it would lead to complete and utter madness and probably suicide in no time, in my case anyway. WAY too intense!

EDIT: I was wanking from midnight till around 6pm next day. Most of the time with a limp dick that is, so not actual wanking, but you get the idea.
