Opioids IV opana vs IV oxycodone

Well if doing opana, i would go with no more than 250mgs or so considering it stronger than Oxy. If that doesnt give you a rush, follow up with another 100mgs.
Its safer to start will smaller doses and work your way up.

Flowers, i thought i was the only one with a high tolerance to Oxy, it takes me almost 600mg by swallowing and railing some.

where did you pull that conversion from? do you have any basic knowledge on oxymorphone? it is a lot stronger than oxycodone. the doses you've given are going to kill the OP and anyone else. 250mgs of IV opana = 3750mg+ oral oxycodone (cross tolerance %ages), which is equal to a shitload more than 450mg IV. check your maths and check these opioid converters

i think you kinda forgot the part where you even said

unfortunately they don't give an IV comparison. and i'm not game to give you some arbitrary dose to begin with where you're going to want to be satisfied. i'll use the "start small and work your way up" line, taking no note of that post above.

well i might not even get it i was in a pretty bad car crash but i already get prescibed 240 30mg oxycodone and 180 8mg hydromorphone a month but i'm in a lot of pain so i was considering going to the er and asking for some oxymorphone cause it's so strong so i can get out of this pain it hurts a lot

Like Tentram said, Oxymorphone is a shitload stronger. IME, it's approximately 10x the strength of IV oxycodone. I feel that my estimate is pretty close as I shot oxycodone the night before I shot oxymorphone for the first time. I found 60mg of IV oxycodone gave me an equivalent high as 5mg of IV oxymorphone, except IV oxymorphone provides a much better rush (actually, it gives the best opiate rush I have ever experienced).

When my tolerance went up to shooting 50-60mg of oxymorphone/day, with 10mg shots, I tried injecting 3 30mg IR oxycodone's and just got 'straight', not even high.

450 fugging mgs in one shot of IV oxycodone??

A) Opiates arent going to help your pain anymore, not to sound rude, but with that absurd amount being your normal dose you have gone wayyy past the point in which opiates will help your pain. With that kinda tolerance, sad to say theyre probably hurting your pain, rather helping it.

B) If you go into the ER, and request oxymorphone by name they will most likely give you tramadol. Not to mention, shit a brick when they see that you are prescribed that crazy amount of drugs.

C) It sounds preachy, but if pains really your reason for all of this, then you need to take a long break and not IV your pills.
Opiates are a great tool, but theres a point you get to where they simply do not work anymore in terms of analgesia, and id say 400 mgs IV is way beyond that point, if you want pain relief you have to detox and probably for quite a while as that dose is just ridiculous and hurting you more than helping.

If your trying to just get high then I suppose the skys the limit, but one day your docs gonna say that obviously opiates arent working anymore and try a different approach.

Good luck b careful

I am going by personal experience with Opana. Thats the 'conversion' that works for me. I do not IV and should of took that into account.

Ty, i disagree that opiates will no longer help for pain because of the high dose shes taking. If i wanna get buzzed. i also have a stupid high tolerance and have to take alot, but for pain relief, prescribed dose of roxi's work fine.
As for her asking for a different drug, it really depends on the relationship between her and the doctor.

i've been using opiates for 10 years now thats why my tolerance is so high cause when i'm out of full agonist opioids i shoot subutex

Please don't feel compelled to give advice about that which you do not understand. Your advice is straight lethal and guesstimating an IV dose without any experience is irresponsible to say the least. We can only be thankful that the OP didn't follow your advice.
