Ok so ive essentially quit drugs totally now, and to aleviate my cravings ive decided to relive one of my old nights enjoying opiates. here goes.
I begin by scoring 7 10mg pain management tablets of methadone, called physeptones. they are basically just methadone cut with chalk, and work great in wheel filters if you want to IV them. I then go and pick up a few 10ml Barrels and some 25 gauge tips. I usually use 3 or 5mls, but this is going to be a bigger shot then normal, and i know theres going to be a lot of liquid. i also grab 7 0.8 micron wheel filters, as well as alcohol swabs, sterile water, and the rest of the standard safe injection gear. I also have 2 25mg promethazine tablets for potentiation, bringing the total to 9 pills - 70mg methadone and 50mg promethazine.
i get back to my settup, and lay everything out. i line up 6 mixers and 9 tablets, and drop 1.5 tablets into each mixer. I know from experince that this 1.5 pills works best, as 2 tends to get clogged near the end of filtering and just 1 leaves a bit of room for more.
I then add a little over 1ml of water to each mixer, and let that sit while i wet all my wheel filters and go wash my hands etc.
I get back, and mix each mixer with the back of a plunger until everything is 100% dissolved. each mixer now looks like it holds about 1.5ml of milk. i draw this up into one of the barrels and push it through a wheel filter into a seperate cap, which i had already cleaned with an alco swab. The filter turns white, as clear, clean solution is pushed out. I repeat this for each mixer in turn, slowly filling up my main cap with a water-like solution. At the end i throw 1ml of water into a mixer, to get any bits i left behind the first time. I then mix this around, tip it into the next mixer, and continue for all 6. at the end i am left with a decently white solution, which is filtered and added to the main stuff.
After that is all done, i suck up the filtered solution, which is indistinguishable from water, into a 10ml barrel. there is about 8ml there, and as this is the first time i have used such a large barrel, i am a bit nervous. (but mainly keen
) i pump my fist a bit, and line up my median cubital, (inside elbow) which is sitting on the surface all bluey-green and ready. I used drugs about once a week at this point, so my veins are always fresh and healthy.
I slowly ease the tip of the spike through my skin, and it slips in easily like a child climbing under its bedcovers. I feel it press against the vein wall, and then feel the release as it pushes through. I know that i am safely in the vein, but i register just to be sure. Blood seeps into the barrel and spreads out along the side, which faces downwards (i am holding the barrel nearly horizontal). The blood doesnt seem to mix, but rather slowly seeps under the methadone/promethazine solution, spreading out horizontally under the forces of gravity.
I then begin the slow push down - with a barrel this size, and a small(ish) gauge needle, it takes a fair amount of time. I have to push down with a lot of force, and i always make sure that i am steady so that i dont somehow slip and stab myself.
after a few seconds, i feel the lightheadedness, and the feeling of my body ringing at a certain frequency that goes with the methadone rush. this is quickly succeeded by a warm sensation filling my body up, pressuring me all over from the inside out. I am about halfway through the shot now.
At this point I feel a slight pain, and am relatively sure i have slipped out of the vein. I carefully re-position and re-register, and again blood seeps into the barrel, staining it red. I slowly begin the journey downwards again, eager to finish up and relax. the pressure increases.
As the shot comes to an end, i feel like a balloon that has been filled to bursting point with warm water. I feel heavy. As the final drop of liquid is squeezed out of the hollow metal spike and into my vein, i watch the remnants of blood and air get squeezed down, and hear a fizzle, like when a bath is drained of the last of its water. I carefully slide the spike outwards, place it on the floor and reach for a tissue.
I lay back, pressing the inside of my elbow, eyes half closed and sedated smile on my face. everything is perfect. I hate to romanticize drug use, and will always value real highs over artificial ones, but at that point, lying under a blanket of euphoria, it is hard to think of anything but pleasure.
I lay still for about 10 minutes, unmoving. the methadone rush lasts a ridiculously long time, and finally i decide to get up and clean everything. I put the barrels in a sharps container, take the tissue off my arm and into the bin, and place everything into a plastic bag, and then make the journey outside to the big bin. I love this journey, as it always happens when i am feeling my best.
I then return to the house as a friend turns up, and we proceed to chat, go out for food, watch a movie, have sex, and eventually i end up reading a book in my hammock. I wont go into detail for any of these, as i just wanted to re-live the experience of the actually drug use.
anyway, thats my trip report. I was torn between making it poetic or more straightforward documentary style, and i think i managed some mutated mix of the two. hopefully it was a good read, and if people enjoyed it i might decide to do a few more.
cheers
