Sometime back in October-ish, a friend of mine showed me a recipe on a different forum for how to get drunk on Isopropyl alcohol. He said he was really interested in trying this and he wanted to know if I was in on it (this is the same friend who, I'm not sure if he's done it yet, was seriously considering robbing a pharmacy.) I told him that he was retarded and that he would go blind if he did it. This did stop him from doing it......for four months at least 8). Anyways's here is the recipe from the other forum.

Take 5mL, 10mL, or 15mL of 91% isopropyl alcohol and dissolve it in 30mL of water and consume concurrently with 400mg MgO and 500mL water. It's recommended that you start with 5mL and work your way up.

Well instead of taking this guides advice and starting with 5mL, my friend went straight to 15mL and this is what he said it was like....

5 minuets after the iso was consumed, a serious alcohol like intoxication developed that lasted until roughly 1 hour, at which point the drunkeness became very debilitating. This secondary intoxication made thinking very difficult (similar to NMDA antagonists, but without any psychedelic component).

I'm assuming that this secondary intoxication can be credited to the fact that your liver metabolizes isopropyl alcohol into acetone. Which is another reason why drinking iso is a really stupid idea.

Anyways, that's all he reported to me. If he adds anything, I'll make sure to update my post.

Dude. I don't even know what to say. You or your friend makes mentally handicapped individuals, along with 1st graders, and fuck even certain breeds of animals look like Einstein.

This is the stupidest thing I've read to date on Bluelight.

Dangers of drinking Isopropyl Alcohol

Isopropyl alcohol is more commonly known as rubbing alcohol. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, it is a simple, synthetically produced alcohol, comprising three carbon, eight hydrogen and one oxygen atom, with numerous industrial, medical and household uses. However, it should not be confused with alcohol found in liquor or wine. That liquid is known as ethanol, or ethyl alcohol. Ingesting isopropyl alcohol presents a number of health hazards. The International Programme on Chemical Safety reports that drinking 240 ml, or 8 oz., can produce severe or lethal effects on humans.

Nervous System Impact

Drinking isopropyl alcohol has an immediate effect on the central nervous system. According to the Mayo Clinic, the CNS controls the involuntary actions of the body, including heartbeat, breathing and gag reflex. Isopropyl alcohol slows these functions and may shut them down altogether. The Occupational Safety and Health Agency's guidelines report that the CNS damage could also lead to coma.

Internal Burns

Ingestion of the harsh alcohol severely irritates mucous membranes, according to IPCS. These sensitive tissues line the throat and airways, and isopropyl damages them on contact. This burning manifests itself in cramping and severe pain. OSHA writes that in the case of "massive ingestion," pulmonary swelling will also occur.

Heart and Blood Changes

The IPCS reports that the most severe changes to the body happen within 30 to 60 minutes of ingestion. Toxins in the alcohol modify body functions, affecting the delivery of blood throughout the body. The Mayo Clinic writes that the heartbeat decreases by changes to the CNS. As a result, the heart rate slows and blood pressure drops. Without fresh blood circulating, organs may fail. All alcohols act as blood thinning agents. Isopropyl is so strong that it can induce hypothermia and subsequent cardiac arrest. The blood's thinning also causes blood sugar levels to fall so sharply that seizures may result.

I've been friends with this guy ever since 8th period gym in 6th grade. Ah, those were the days :\. Anyways, he started smoking in 6th grade. Got into weed in 8th grade, and has been doing anything he can get his hands on since 9th grade. I gotta admit that your right though. I'm pretty sure that my black cat is smarter than him. However, he's a pretty nice guy - with the exception of; he will rip you off if you ever give him the chance to. But other than that he's pretty awesome. He smokes me up a lot, makes trades with me constantly, and will deliver things right to my house!

But yeah, he isn't to bright.....
