Is this normal?

So I smoked for the first time, a joint a couple days ago and a minute after I killed it, I felt kind of nauseous, and huge body-load and dry, red eyes, and couldnt really tell if it was a good experiance or not

2 days later I smoke again and this time, I get the same symptoms as last time but I also feel extremely sick and when I stand up, the nausea is worse and I threw up for about 30 minutes and then just felt like crap until I went to bed

so was the bud cured wrong or just a bad strain or did i think getting high was a lot better than this?

My friend, my advice to you is get a different strain and try smoking much less. Report back after that. You may want to look for a haze (sativa) strain.

Sometimes poorly cured mids or schwag can make me feel a bit ill, but I never actually throw up or get heavy nausea unless I eat a ton.

Let me know how your next experience turns out - this is a bit out of the normal but as it was your first experience with cannabis I suggest you give it another whirl with different bud and with a bowl or bong - sometimes less is more.

Not necessarily normal, but not totally unheard of. I have seen and heard of many people vomiting from excessive coughing, but long lasting nausea from marijuana is somewhat atypical. For me, Cannabis is great at reducing feelings of nausea, and I have heard this from many other people as well. If the experience was dizzying or too intense, I could deffinatly see it causing nausea akin to motion sickness.

Like chainer said, try smoking less next time or try buying from someone else. There are many possibilities, and for a person who isn't seasoned in these substances, there really isn't a "normal" when it comes to euphoria. Anyways, I hope you have a better experience next time.

My recomendation is trying to get different weed. This has never happened to me nor anyone else I know, even after countless years of smoking. But, it happens. Try smoking different bud, and try a bong if possible, it uses less weed, gets you desirably higher and the smoke is smoother.

bests of luck

The fact that the nausea got worse when u stood up makes it sound like a blood pressure issue to me. Bud is a vasodilator which should relax the walls of the arteries and such. When people refer (i lol'd) to "greening out" they experience (to varying degrees) the symptoms you described.

I was on anti-depressants for most of my life until a little while ago and they messed with my blood pressure from time to time. Opiates and cigs would only make me extremely nauseous and sensitive to light when i took them on the medication, and with the help of google and a portable bp machine i have I concluded that both substances made my bp drop to where it was too low for my build.Bud never made me nauseous or anything like the opiates and cigs and still doesnt.

Even though I used opiates and cigs as examples, but the affects they can produce via messed up bp are exactly like the ones you described. My advice would be to not smoke as much bud. If that doesnt work do what others have said already.

side note: Anyone else think that "greening out" is only a bp issue? all the symptoms fit to me.

It sounds like you smoked too much all at once. Break up the herb and put it into a bowl or small one hitter and take a hit or 2-3 hits at the most and see how that is. Or just smoke a few puffs from a joint and then smoke the rest another time.

Its more likely to be the amount you smoked rather then the strain, because when you havent smoked before you cannabinoid receptors need a bit of time to adjust, you need to sort of desensitise yourself to it slowly and then you can enjoy it more.

Just smoke a lot less next time and wait at least 30 minutes between every few tokes, cause often the problem is with new smokers is that they claim they dont feel anything because they dont know how to identify the feeling when it first comes on so they decide to just keep smoking till they feel something and by then its too late as it hits them hard. So you gota take it nice and slow and give it time to work especialy if u smokin joints.
