I have a couple of quick questions. First is there a major difference between a drug induced psychosis and what you would call a nervous breakdown due to experiencing serious trauma and having repressed memories unlocked because of heavy drug use?

Second question and this is more of a question of opinion not fact is there a difference between being a person who has a drug or alcohol problem and being a person with problems who drinks and using drugs?

Any opinions welcome no matter how harsh. I ask this because a person i meet at a pysch ward i was once admitted to when young told me there is no such thing as schizophrenic's just faulty people who can't handle life or drugs and because of these people drugs are illegal. I think the guy who told me this got the idea from american heavy metal singer.

Thanks for the reply Bert's.I can relate as I had a very full on psychosis that was triggered by long term use of extremely potent hydroponic grown skunk cannabis. To this day if I even have a small toke of a joint I totally trip out with psychotic symptoms and insane voices with terrible paranoia. Weed and I don't agree at all.

It's funny but stim's like meth and speed are still enjoyable despite the fact I was using them just before my first drug induced psychosis. Go figure.

As for repressed memories my first 21 years are a confusing plur of happiness verse traumatic events that my mind locked away in the back of my head in order to function. What I'll say is ignorance is bliss. Now I'm in my mid 30's and repressed memories are coming back to me I need anti psychotic medication to function and will so for the rest of my life, all because of the fucked up things that happened to me in my younger days
