Misc Is taking 270mg Adderall in 14hrs basically like doing meth/speed?

My friend went a little crazy on New Years and took 270mg of Adderall IR over a 14 hour period. She also smoke a lot of weed and drank some too. She knows it was stupid, she wouldn't recommend it but she really did have a lot of fun. She has no tolerance for Adderall and it is the first time she has taken it in years (even in the past it was only 30mg). In order to be as safe as possible when doing such a large amount she was sure to only take 15-30mg at a time and wait at least and hour and half before each redose. I am wondering how similar such a massive amount of Adderall (for someone who has no tolerance) is to meth or speed. Obviously it was a crazy Addy high but I am wondering what amount of meth this would be equivalent to, if at all. Maybe her Addy high would be similar to a moderate meth high? Or for example, she took 270mg of Adderall but maybe it is only equivalent to 100mg of meth (I am just making that figure up). Please no lectures. It wasn't the smartest idea but she is safe and didn't even experience more than a few hours of a negative comedown or "hangover". She will likely do Adderall in the future, but never again in such large amounts.
 
They are different substances. Is 100mcg LSD equivalent to a certain amount of shrooms? No. Also you can't tell a conversion because the purity of street amphetamine/meth varies greatly whereas adderall is USP grade. Adderall is equivalent to a dose of speed as they are both racemic amphetamine however there is no way to say how many mg of speed it is equal to because the purity of street drugs are unknown (although I've heard that street speed is sometimes around 30% purity meaning 15mg adderall is about 60mg speed, assuming the street speed is 1:1 d:l-amp however the isomers vary greatly). There is no meth conversion that I know of and methamphetamine is a whole different beast.
 
These types of threads are very borderlined to being closed because you are comparing a pharmaceutical drug to a "street" drug.


The duration of Desoxyn (d,-methamphetamine) at 10mg would be about 8 hours.
The duration of Adderall IR (racemic amphetamine) at 20mg would be about 5 hours.

We can't compare crystal methamphetamine to Adderall for obvious reasons (that onetwo mentioned above).

Regardless of all this, 270mg of Adderall over a 14 hour period is crazy, yeah I know you said the same thing. You also have to take into account the ROA, I'm under the impression from what you wrote that the Adderall was taken orally, if this was the case you need to compare methamphetamine taken orally as well.

But all this is a frivolous exercise.
Bottom line is that even a small amount of methamphetamine is much stronger and lasts much longer than Adderall.

Because of speculation and misinformation that will be posted and I can't see it going much further, I am going to close it now.
If any of the other Mods think it should be re-opened then they can go ahead.
But for Harm Reduction purposes and in my mind also against the rules and purpose of BL this is closed for now.
