hello guys,

from anecdotal writing on the internet, i came upon, that should You ever try to IV a benzo, use a lorazepam.
is there any truth to this whatsoever is it as idiotic as 'damn i shot 4mg xanax i dunno i didnt feel nuthins but i was kinda high woke up in the er though lol i guess thats having fun' ?

I mean a normal IV benzodiazepine experience like i am sure many of You have lately experienced with 2ml valium ampoules available widely. also, You can take 7.5mg or 15mg midazolam tabs and crush them and shoot. tried and tested, that works. but lorazepam? I dont have the balls to do it, yet the guy on the net sounded so serious ... so serious...

any seriously smart guys on this topic right here?

thank You in advance

OT:
btw, i did not go from 40mg/day to 25mg/day to 5mg/day. THOSE WERE DIFFERENT TIMEPERIODS.
iwas on FROM 25 TO 40 mg A DAY of XANAX or other benzos that would add up to 25 TO 40 mg of xanax for about two weeks. from then on i gradually went to 25-30, 15-25, 10-20 and so on because there was NO effect any more.
i tried taking 100 and i actually remember blacking out and waking up in the same spot. the lame part is i remember the blacking out part.
ive ad a long addiction where i began 5-7mg day and used 13-16mg worth of xanax equivalent benzos for 4-5 months.
after that, i slowly began lowering my dose, at first it went 2-3mg at a time, i mean 2-3mg less every 4-5 days.
at the 5mg mark i started lowering by 0.5mg. at 3mg mark i switched exclusively to diazepam (60mg).
then i just dropped by 5 mg every 4 days till i was at 30mg. from then on i dropped 5mg every 7 days till i was at 15. i was at 15 for 2 weeks then dropped 5mg. i was at 10mg for 2 weeks, then 5mg. and 2 or 2.5-3 weeks at 5mg till i didnt take any.
i was free of ANY benzos or ANY alcohol (i dont drink EVER, anyway, thats why i use drugs/benzos in general so heavily) for a bit over a month. 35 days or so. for all that time i had about 4000-6000 benzos within my reach and after 35 days i just wanted to try what 0.50 triazolam would feel like. i fell out and slept. after that i was on. xanax, valium, ritalin, ativan, temazepam, midazolam, triazolam and all the other ones except really exotic like nimetazepam. i got 6 boxes of it, Ermin 5mg i believe was they're name. they're 10 a box so not much really.
its nothing special, just like triazolam, brotizolam. basically a little more euphoric than midazolam (except IV'd).

zolazepam is also water soluble. from what I can find online lorazepam is not water soluble. I sed to have lots of vials of midazolam and valium, and besides the 100% b/a there is practically no advantage over taking them orally. I would just go the oral route unless you get them in sealed vials prepared for injection.

No, lorazepam is not safely IVable in a solution containing water.

For IV of most benzodiazepines the only way is dissolved in a solution of propylene glycol (PEG). Do not attempt to IV Lorazepam with water, at best you will be IVing what is called an emulsion and it is probably going to leave you with an abscess.

Even the benzos that ARE IVable are not particularly worth it. I have been IV'd midazolam and diazepam in medical settings and honestly it isn't worth it. There is no rush, and the BA of oral and sublingual benzos is almost 100% anyway.

Please reconsider this.

EDIT: Upon re-reading this thread you have a serious problem with benzodiazepines and it can only go downhill from here. I would honestly recommend that you stop using them following a safe taper plan because your use is irresponsible and eventually benzos will become pointless for you except to stop you having seizures - hence why you need to taper.

Speaking from experience too... I've been there.

I've had ativan IV in the hospital before, and like tripman stated, there's no rush or high (at least when you're having a panic attack like I was; I got morphine, ativan and phenergan all in one go, and didn't feel anything from it). It's not worth it man.
