Is magic MDMA or methedrone ?

You can't vape MDMA crystals (MDMA in its hydrochloride salt form), its burning point is lower than its boiling point.
Or in other words, it will start burning before it vaporizes, and when it burns it's not active anymore.

You could vape MDMA Freebase, but that is a clear oily liquid and it's not sold on the streets or on the darkweb.

If your friend is getting high dabbing what he bought as MDMA, he doesn't have MDMA.
It could be a Cathinone, like Mephedrone, but to know for sure he would need to send it to a lab like Energy Control.
A reagent test could also give some indication but it won't be as reliable.

100%. Used to be friends with some people who kept claiming that they were "smoking MDMA". Turns out their "MDMA" was either meth or a cathinone. Don't think they ever took it to get tested and figure out which. But from what I saw being around them while they were on it, they were certainly not on molly.

Doubt it's MDMA, if it's called magic. Doubt it's even a single substance. Magic are shitty generic names, usually ascribed by vendors who sell their own sort of 'generic brand' (often a mix), or media.

Which country are you in? Lab test is absolutely the only way:
Ecstasydata (USA)
Wedinos (UK)
Energy Control (International/Europe?)

Lab test all your drugs if possible, the results can be very, very suprising.

If you are not located in one of such countries and money is an issue (Services like Energy Control can be quite expensive, especially if you're just trying to test a sample from a small purchase), reagent testing + fentanyl strip testing is not quite as accurate but can still give you a good picture of what is most likely in your drugs.

IIRC you can still submit to ecstasydata possibly, especially if you're somwhere close like canada. Might be wrong. But free drug testing in Canada is great, there seem to be more and more services popping up.
