Is it 'wrong' to dance to music alone?

I was just listening to some sweet sounds of tech itch's brand spanking new the failed evolution to myself near midnight and I was compelled to my usual matrix style hand gestures and general robot like contortions.

Do others enjoy solo jiving?

How would you consider it 'wrong'? Haha...dancing is dancing, nothing wrong with it whether you do it in a group of 10+ people or completely solo. When I go to raves I am by myself for the majority of the night...as are a lot of people.

staroceanhouse - that is a sick video, thanks.

dancing is dancing yea. i'm going to swing dance classes to improve my flow, gotta practise!

I live in a boring city that rarely has good dance events, so dancing alone in my apartment is not optional.

If I don't dance, I die inside.

I dance alone all the time. Never thought it was wrong. It feels so right! hahahaha!!

how else is a bad dancer supposed to get better? i've been dancing alone for as long as i can remember.

I recently have taken up diet and exercise. And I figured the whole "Zumba Dance" thing could be easily transmuted to me dancing to my favorite EDM as exercise.

I have not been out to a party in over 3 years. I know no one with a car in my area and usually am very broke. So for the last three days or so, Ive just been dancing in my backyard.

What I found is that dancing (At least to me) is highly addictive. Id never seriously given, dancing alone a try before, but now I automatically do it as much as possible.

It's starting to seem like a waste to have so much good music in my collection, and not be able to dance to it.
And the sounds are soo good, I just cant stop.

Not only that, but like one of the posters said on here, dancing alone is like practice. It makes you a better dancer.
Im planning to loose about 80 pounds, and I figure that at the speed Im going, I will be able to dance for a good 3 or 4 hours after I loose the weight and my body builds muscle.

And that is a gift! When I get my life together, I "Will" be attending parties. And it will be great to have the stamina to dance a "Full Set."

Plus now that Im dancing alone, all I can think about is how good the music is that I own and how much it deserves a good thrashing on the dance floor.
Even if Im alone in my backyard.

Namaste, everyone.

^good idea thinking of it as a practical and enjoyable means of exercise. not that you have to have an excuse but its nice to slay a few dragons with one sword.

Shit I was dancing TODAY to some Stephen Marley all by my lonesome. And i looked GOOOOD lol. Seriously, how else are you gonna try out some sick new moves? I was practicing a spin move which I've never been able to do. OK, I'll stop talking now...
