I'm goin crazy by never being able to fall asleep I'm prescribed mirtazapine for depression been on it just over a year. I'm prescribed Xanax and clonazepam for my anxiety disorder. But I have such a tolerance to benzos that they don't help me sleep anymore been on them six months.

So is it safe to mix them with a low dose of seroquel so that I can sleep. I worry easy I worry about oding. I would only take 50mg sero or less. I just want need sleep. Please reply soon I'm depressed cuz I can't ever sleep. Thanks peace

Ahhh thanks got no reply I hope I don't overdose accidentally tonight. I feel like it takes days for people to reply no offense

You're welcome, I don't know how quickly you expect to get a reply at 1:30am on a monday morning
Also if you're worried about the combo don't be an idiot and try it without researching it

There is no major interaction between seroquel and benzodiazepines. The only interaction that exists is between seroquel and mirtazapine. In excessive dosages, mixing anti-psychotics and serotonergic drugs can induce serotonin syndrome.

If you keep the doses controlled however, you should have no problem. The only issue you might have is excessive sedation, grogginess in the morning, and all the other side-effects that seroquel causes.

Also, being slightly patient at the expense of your well-being is a small asking price. People respond when they can.

Let us know how you feel.

@OP When it comes to serious things like this... you want the experienced people who know what they are talking about to respond and give you a well-informed answer.

Not going to say UTFSE because that's just mean and I'm absolutely sure that you did first.

We're real lucky to have this community... its saved my life as well as others...

I'm just going to throw these out there real quick just in case you haven't thought about these alternatives to Seroquel:

Exercise A LOT
Eat very well
Trying your best to keep a positive mindset :)
Anyway.. if you have any doubts about anything, make sure you talk to your doctor, they aren't there to hurt you! :)
