Opioids Is it possible to smoke matrifen transdermal patches??

Hi I have been an iv heroin user 16 years. Just got my hands on a fentanyl patch. Matrifen 100 micrograms/hour transdermal. Is it possible to smoke? If so how??

Please don't smoke your patches.

100ug/hr * 24hr *3days = 7200ug fentanyl. Standard dose for pain is 25-100ug.

So even if this worked, you know what that would do to you, right? If all the fentanyl somehow made it into your body unconsumed by burning plastic?

That would be 72 people's high dose pain killer all at once.

The reality is all that burning plastic would just destroy a beautiful patch.

This one I think merits closure.

Six people in Halland County died in 2011 from using the drug and several others have been admitted at the hospital in Gothenburg after suffering from side effects caused by smoking or eating the patches.

Since the beginning of January, police in Halland have received two more reports of fentanyl-related deaths.
