Alcohol Is it just me or does alcohol never feel as good as your first time?

The first time I drank I was 14. I'll spare you a story but I drank around a coffee mug of vodka straight, probably 3/4ths a coffee mug. I became ecstatic and euphoric as hell. I was literally rolling around on the floor laughing until I cried. Weed never made anything so funny, and of course alcohol never made me that euphoric again.

Is this typical of alcohol? Is this typical of every drug? I know I hear people talk about how other drugs like crack never feel as good as your first high, that you go your whole life chasing it.

This is true. Some drugs take longer than others to lose their magic. Opiates take a long time of abuse whereas the honeymoon is much more condensed with GABAergics and even stimulants. Alcohol just makes me bored and depressed, but at one time, much like you, I found it very euphoric & social. The one drug that didn't lose it's magic is weed, but that may be because it's one of the few drugs I don't abuse. Most recently Kratom & Phenibut were two very euphoric compounds I had found but now they hardly do anything outside their therapeutic effects (pain relief & anxiolysis, respectfully) after a year of abuse.

I don't remember my first time with alcohol lol.. needless to say, my friends said we had fun.. guess i blacked out. we (3 of us) split a half gallon of vodka and we were only 12.
I do remember being young and drinking was "cool" to do and it made you a "badass" to do it, but it seems like once you get older the magic is gone. Maybe that's why there's age restrictions lol cuz i would "act a fool" when drunk and young. I personally think the drinking age should be raised to 25, as I could never consume responsibly until 24ish years old.. but erryone is different.
I just drink beer now, a few a day.. gives me a mood lift until someone pisses me off. Then i fly off the handle if i dont separate myself from the situation.
