Misc Is it dangerous to mix Methocarbamol with an Opioid ?

if its action is based in the GABA complex and is similar to benzos then i would say yes, treat it as having the same risks as using a benzo with an opiate.
 
Because I took Methocarbamol with AH-7921 for back pain, I did not took a high dose of both but I keep noding and it feels like it potentiate the sedative effect of the opioid.
 
It's not dangerous as long as you don't overshoot your opiate tolerance or take too much methocarbamol which is rather unpleasant as it can cause a fuckload of nausea and vomiting. In Canada you can get Robaxacet-8's with 325mg's of acetaminophen, 400mg's of methocarbamol and 8mg's of codeine or you can get Robaxisal-8's which is the same thing except with aspirin instead of acetaminophen over the counter. You can get these pills with higher doses of codeine in them but anything over 8mg's of codeine requires a script.

I personally found methocarbamol to be completely useless. It's a carbamate which means it's in the same family of drugs as the much better muscle relaxants Carisoprodol and meprobamate but it shares very little of the effects of these drugs. It does not potentiate opiates at all for me, doesn't relax my muscles at all and makes me feel sick as fuck and weird even in low doses. The only muscle relaxants i have found to be any good are Valium and Orphenadrine. We don't have Soma (carisoprodol) in Canada anymore for some weird reason though we still have meprobamate in the form of mep282's so that makes no sense at all. I have unfortunately never gotten to try either. Orphenadrine is also a very good opiate potentiator due to it's rather strong anti-cholinergic effects and is one of my favorites for that actually.

But yeah in my opinion methocarbamol is just junk. Hell id rather just take some ibuprofen with a opiate like morphine or whatever and add diphenhydramine to it to boost it in i was getting bad muscle spasms
 
I took about 6X 400mg Methocarbamol + 6X 20mg of AH-7921 in the time of 10 hours and at the end of the day I was unable to stay awake I was noding all the time. This amount of AH-7921 in the period of time is no big deal for me.

By the way im not trying to potentiate the effect of the opioid at that time I have severe pain in the back and Im trying to cure that. Its so painful I have no idea what to take, both drugs are not really effective. AH-7921 help a little.

Really ??? Codeine OTC ? I never seen any of these anywhere.
 
In Canada, codeine is found in some OTC medications. From my experience it is always combined with something to prevent abuse and as "Paranoid" said, there is a level at which you need a script for it.

As for Robaxin (methocarbamol), I have found it to be utterly useless. I am a cpp and was given many prescriptions for it with opiates so taking it as directed isn't going to do you any harm but as I said, for me, it is a lousy medication. Take too much and it will make you sick as shit. There are other muscle relaxants that are superior and I have taken many of them with opiates just do not take too much. Flexeril comes to mind as something that worked a little better than Robaxin. It is not related to benzos. Some benzos such as valium do have muscle relaxant qualities but mixing benzos with opioids needs to be done carefully under medical supervision.

Really ??? Codeine OTC ? I never seen any of these anywhere.

I think canadas prescribing laws regarding codeine are the same as the uks. You can buy upto 8mg of codeine or dihydrocodeine OTC but it has to be compounded with another active ingredient like paracetamol (for analgesic sparring and anti-abuse).
Anything else that is more then the 8mg per pill requires a doctors prescription
