The only steroids that can cause liver problems are 17a oral steroids or 17a oral steroids that are in an injectable suspension such as Dianabol, Anadrol, Turinabol, etc..

As Guido said yes only 17aa steroids can cause liver complications - dianabol for example is 17aa therefore able to be able to taken orally, injecting it taxes the liver in the same way as it would orally contrary to popular belief - it is still metabolised by the liver. I remember reading somewhere someone ended up in hospital with liver complications from running stupid amounts of deca for weeks on end... something upwards of 2000mg a week however not sure how reliable that source was I highly doubt it.
