I do not want to cause contamination, but Is it possible to unclog a syringe? If so how? I was doing a shot but the needle kept slipping out when i would let go to push the plunger so i took to long..... I tried hot water and eventually threw it away, but i do not want this happening again so how can i prevent it? Or fix it when it happens?

Probably a stupid question but i dont know the answer so please help me out.
Thanks guys <3

Are you talking about with methamphetamine? How did you filter? You never use hot tap water anywhere near a syringe, nor along any stage during the preparation or injection process. Hot water from the tap contains a shitload of bacteria that lives in your water heater.

What size gauge is your syringe?

I put it in went in and out till i found the vein i pulled back and registered but then i was at an awkward angle so i let go of the needle to change positions and the needle slid out ugh and by time i found it again under the swelling the needle had clogge with blood. It was a 1cc 29 g

Personally I have found that sometimes when drawing up heroin the needle will get clogged (from drawing up through filter into syringe). Using a lighter real quick on the end tip of the needle will help if the clog is there. I usually apply some pressure on the plunger, then light the end while making sure to aim it at the cap/spoon because it will come out with force, and you don't want to lose some. Then re-filter it all back up.

Other than that I don't ever use heat. A good way to get unwanted things in your veins.

If you can't get it out with pressure, or my method, simply take out the plunger, turn it upside down, and you may need to cut off the needle end to allow air in, but you can get all the liquid to flow back out into your cap/spoon, re-filter, then do again.

However, I would not do that if the needle had blood in it already, as in you drew blood and started to miss, then tried to register again and the blood clotted. That's sort of eh.

It was terrible.

Well it was at the back of the needle i pushed the plunger as hard as i could, it wouldnt push out. So i took thenplunger out ( i only had one needle and i was sorta desparate as you can tell) so anyways i hit the needle upside down wasted all my work, but what pissed me off was i couldnt do the shot. I had to throw the needle out an resort to smoking yuck (lol yick smoking but ill use a needle ;)

I did not filter this... It dissolved like ice in water... Btw it was my first time iv meth. Normally i do h...

Yeah you never want to use the sane needle more than once due to vein damage and the very real risk of bactrial infections. You REALLY should never inject anything that is offering up any type of resistance. If the problem is that the blood has coagulated, you can poor the solution into another spoon, add some more water, filter and then draw back up again (assuming the dissolved drug had only been in liquid for for under an hour) Ideally you should be using a micron filter as well

It was not te drug. It dissolved Super fast an turned to liquid instantly. I drew up, shot. Then drew another shot i didnt want to use anoter vein incase it blew so i used the same one which was swollen it took about 10 minutes and the blood coagulated at the top of the needle. It was jammed so bad i could hardly pull the plunger back out. I had to hit the syringe to get the liquid out... I threw it away after that and decided i need to ask someone.

Also i i register and blood is in it and i have to restick can that cause issues since blood is in the syringe?

So if my blood coagulated in the syringe its done i have to throw the drug an syringe away?

You HAVE to filter Kayla.

Always without exception.

Hey trip <3 I didnt have anything to filter with. Should i have cooked it? It wasnt like heroin it just dissolved so fast.

What can i expect since i didnt filter? Should i have cooked it?

Methamphetamine is extremely soluble in water, it doesn't matter whether you think there is or see particulate matter in your shot, it is contaminated and requires filtration.

You never cook shots either, I cannot think of a single drug you would need to cook, maybe some forms of european heroin requires heat, but nothing in the US should ever be cooked. cooking = ensures all the contaminates are dissolved into your shot.

Kayla you can't be injecting meth, especially with this complete disregard for IV safety.

Don't have something to filter with? This is equally important as having drugs to inject, or having a syringe.

I am inclined to agree with Tricomb.

You need to learn more about IV safety and technique if you wish to continue down this path... Meth is absolute hell on your veins.

I know tri. With h i always did everything right but with this shit i wasnt sure and the retard who gave it to me was of no use because of severe paranoia and delusions.

The person who gave it to me shot it straight with sprite so my example was bad.... And i was in a hurry and i was nervous not thinking and shaking. I was a nervous wreck and couldnt think straight at all.

With h i heat aNd filter..... Not really cook i just like it to be warm before filtering....Shooting...

I was under the impression meth was different to inject ididnt know.... At least now i know for next time.. If there is one.

Don't apply any heat, ever, under any cirucmstances. You want COLD water. As cold as possible, then after you've filtered and it's in the syringe, you can warm it up by holding the syringe in your hand.

The active ingredients are extremely water soluble and go into the water solution on contact. If you want to use something sterile like the plunger to mix your shot, that's fine, but the goal here is NOT to get everything to dissolve. Quite the opposite really.

Well tar dose not dissolve like that. You have to heat it or it will never dissolve....

We do not have powder heroin where i live.

Kayla as you know, in california all I've ever had is tar heroin, I've never used powder in my life.
You do not need to cook your shots, I swear it. All you need is patience to mix it yourself, all of the heroin will get in the water, even if there is still visibly tar in the solution. What you see left in the spoon is not heroin, it's the "tar" substance and cut.

Tar = a lot of things + heroin, heroin makes up an extremely tiny portion of the tar mass.

Thank you tri. The person who taught me, was wrong abd it was a completely different routine which obviously was fucking stupid. <3

Also i dont dissolve everything i just heat a bit to help dissole then i stir till mixed. I dont sit there and really cook the stuff till its all dissolved ya know what i mean. Now i know though so tg for bl :)

Glad im still alive and healthy fuck

Still, ANY heat will contaminate your shot. If you apply heat, be sure to let your solution cool back down for at least 5 minutes to allow some of the inactive ingredients to precipitate out BEFORE you filter.

But there is no reason to apply heat. No reason at all.

Always filter. Never heat.

Got it. Thank you everyone.

Will you tell me what you think about the coagulated blood clogged needle. If it clogs do i have to waste the product and throw it away syringe? Because it would not come out even when upside down...
