Injecting Coke

I'm IV'ing a shitload of coke right now (Please No Lectures) and I was wondering why is feels so, so much better than snorting it. It feels like a completely different drug, does anyone know the chemical reason for this? I understand why IV'ing opiates is so much better because it converts into more Morphine in the brain, but it still feels like the same drug.

I cant really help you with an answer. I would like to take a second to agree with you however. I aways say that there are two kindsa drugs:
1) IV Cocaine
2) all other drugs
 
You've heard the expression: "The shortest distance between two points is a straight line"?
When you IV any drug, you are, in a way, sending the drug STRAIGHT to your brain.
When you take a drug orally, for example, much of it is destroyed in the stomach.
When you snort, smoke, eat, or plug a drug, or ANY substance, part of the drug is filtered out by the various parts of your body...stomach lining, mucous membrane (though I don't know that actually filters that much, you get the gist)...
However, when you slam a needle in your arm, all of the drug <the good AND the bad> are sent STRAIGHT into your bloodstream, and thusly, straight to the brain. So you're getting more...wait for it...'bang' for the buck. This is also why you use so much less when you IV.
Make sense, or did I ramble too much?

Can you guys give time frames and amount used? If you were to lock yourself up in a room and treat yourself to a gram IV until it's gone, how long roughly of an experience would you have?

Less than an hour. I can't be more specific as it would depend on the individual preference/tolerance of each user.
My reasoning:
If you're IVng coke, you already are familiar with it's effects, and you have somewhat of a tolerance.

Assuming you have fairly raw high grade coke, a gram could last you up to 12 hours, but probably less.
The high is considerably longer, more intense and smoother when injecting and you use much smaller doses than you would snort, say between 25-50mgs as oppossed to 100mgs+. However this isn't to say you can't inject larger doses.
You get a lot more bang for your buck, but obviously there are increased dangers.
 
I wouldn't say that the high lasts longer... when I mainline coke I have to make an effort to wait more than 15 minutes between shots.

I agree. I think the high, while MUCH more intense, last quite a bit less longer than snorting. I could go through a gram in forty-five minutes without much trouble.
 
Is that a more powerfull "rush" - I dunna if IV meth even did for me what IV coke did .. we used to have shooters parties, where we would lay in a hot-tub and just load a rig, inject, and lay back.... very fun, like a REALLY drawn out orgasam .. but yeah, you will go through a LOT of cocaine, and if you don't have any downers on hand, you might want to avoid this...
We would literally be blissed for a minute OR TWO before we started to load the next rig.. how long would a gram last? Not long, but provided you pace yourself and don't do junkie sized loads, 1 gram might get you through the night...
It was not un-common for us to get a half ounce (about 15g) at 10pm, we had a total of 4 people, maybe 200 syringes ... it was ALL GONE by sunrise .. so be carefull, this is a little hard on all your involved body parts - MAKE SURE YOU ALTERNATE THOSE INJECTION SITES! I mean, hit ALL OVER YOUR BODY ...

I wonder how bad the comedown is after a night of IV'ing coke? (Snorting is bad enough for me...)
 
Like I said, if you don't have a large stash of industrial strength downers, then this is NOT something you want to do... thats not a "suggestion", it's THE LAW OF THE IV DRUG USING WORLD!
Why do you think we would continue to IV so much? Yeah, the rush is fun, but on the COMPLETE OTHER END ofthe spectrum is the crash - warning: you will NOT STOP UNTIL THE COKE IS GONE ... you will then scrape the bag... while not *physically* addictive, there are some nasty withdrawal symptoms, and HORRID mental cravings for the stuff..
But all you need is 20mg-40mg Valium and you will sleep..
