Opioids Injecting *clean* opium

I'm probably going to get flamed like hell (NPI) for this, but in the interest of harm reduction I have a legitimate question.

Is it plausible to inject very clean opium? Read on before you reply please.

Say you made poppy-seed tea. That stuff is basically opium diluted in water, right? Anyway you take that, maybe add an acid (not lemon juice) to turn the bases into salts, and send it through a small wheel filter to get the plant matter out. You would be left with morphine, much smaller amounts of codeine, and trace amounts of other alkaloids. I understand codeine is bad to inject, but it would be a small amount compared to the morphine. I just want to get the BA as high as possible and for some reason plugging doesn't do anything for me.

On a tangent, I hear iv'ing hydrocodone causes the same allergic reaction but I haven't had a problem with that. I've done it twice, no more since it's not even worth the money for a high anyway.
 
no. It remains a crude plant extract, so the risk of sepsis, systemic fungal infection, allergic reaction to plant solids, etc. is way too high.

Plant solids that gel, form an emulsion, or dissolve in water will pose a problem, even with filtering.

True, but it couldn't be worse than injecting pills right? I mean technically it's not safe but I'm still here.

Edit: i didn't read that part about sepsis and fungal infection. neither or those sound fun

Yes, yes it really can. If you base judgements on things like "Oh I survived once I can do it again..!", you probably aren't going to live very long. There are many things you can survive that could kill you, it's called luck and statistics. Anyone who pushes that luck time and again is simply asking for trouble.
 
Would not reccomend that at all, plant material into the veins, just doesn't sound good...i've put many binders and fillers in my veins from pills...but I think from a plant could very possilby be worse...if you have opium(and this is coming from a needle user) I would not even think of banging it, smoke alll the way. If I ever come across it I would make a special occasion out of it turn my room into a little Opium den with little red lanterns every where and smoke it watching movies/listening to music...

I mean people did back in the 1800's probably..but they really didn't live long.

I guess if you really value your life and health that little, shit man, go for it...but you've been warned, you may spend the rest of your short life slowly dying from endocarditaidseebolaecoli virus..slowly and painfully.

Get some chemicals, do your research, and extract the morphine...still probably not good for injection since your no Walter White, I assume.

But all in all, I seriously doubt you'll find the results worth it.

I mean, people don't shoot up hashish, now do they! There's a damn good reason for that, too!
